Hi there, just note the following meanings, maybe it helps ya a bit: A1=CW A2=CW with AM-Modulated Signal on it (telegraphy) A3=AM SB-oben= USB SB-unten=LSB F1=FSK (Teletype, with Carrier) F2=FSK (Teletype, without Carrier) FB (Keyswich) usually means 'Fernbedienung' (Remote Control), there should be a connector for such a Remote Control via Cable somewhere. That switch most likely just enables/disables that remote control.
"Red. Träger" is short for Reduziert Träger, so yes, "reduced carrier". Ohne Träger is "without carrier." "Sperr-Filter" means "blocking-filter" so is a notch filter. "FB" is short for "Fernbedienbar" which means Remote Control so there must be a port on the back for remote control. "Abstimm-impuls" means something like "voting-pulse" so could be the port for an external error-correction device or decoder for encrypted transmissions. Upper 2 switches on right: Left one looks like a three-step anti-clipping / overload switch and the right one LOOKS like a three-step variable-bandwidth switch but you already have 8 dedicated switches for that already so I'm not sure. WHAT LETTERING IS UNDER THE "Div." switch, is it "aus"? It could be a decimal-point switch for the display. This unit cost 50,000 DM brand new (27,000 USD) when it came out. Motorola now owns the company.
@@AL_9000 i just put up a second video after I got most of the switches figured out. The Div. Is a diversity receive switch - so without a second radio attached that one doesn’t mean anything. What does “fest” mean on the keypad-lower right? Thank you very much for your help!
@@WernerGabrielKameramann Thank you Werner, I found out that I am supposed to use 100% Trager in AM mode and Ohne Trager is SSB mode. I am not clear on when to use Red. Trager (Reduced Carrier?)
verry good radio
Wow, such a cool receiver
Thanks for the shout out!
Hey Nick - imagine how this must have looked when it came out in the mid seventies - sci fi 😍
@@hercsie thats why it originally cost 50,000DM
Hi, nice radio! You may have checked by now but sperr means block.
@@redsky1433 I found out that Sperr-Filter is a Notch filter that works when the toggle above it is engaged. Thanks!
@@dieselten01 That's cool. I was speculating if it might be a variable notch for heterodynes. It's good to be able to get rid of those whistles!
