Great to see two of the top portable performers of their day competing with each other with that sweet solid state DX.! Nice to see analog dials that I can read with out my glasses! I believe you have to pushin or pull out the BFO button in to control the RF gain on your Sony. 73! Have a great day!
I found a copy of the manual online. It confirmed my thoughts, there is no attenuation or RF gain adjustment in AM mode. Only in side band with the BFO on. Too bad.
Wish I could find a website that would show every Sony radio ever made-that damn company seemed to come up with something innovative every few months.
