The Pipiers Family is a unique family of 6. Shawn is a former member of the Canadian Armed Forces who, after 13 years of service, released in 2018 to better take care of his family, especially his special needs son.
Sarah is a Nurse and the mother of 4 children. She came up with the idea to make a RUclips channel featuring our family and showing how we make it all work with a special needs child. But also showing how we enjoy ourselves together as a family.
Kent is the oldest child. Followed by Cameron, Keaton and Eva.
Keaton is our special needs child with a very rare condition called herc 2 neurological disorder and he is one of approximately 22 people who have it in the entire world.
We also have a dog. She is a Newfoundland dog named Sasha. And 2 older cats named Bella and Cajun.

Thank you so much for the video and bonjour from Montreal!
We are considering the P-Pod for our 5 yo who has CP and your video was the most detailed one one I've found so far.
Your boys are handsome and they both look so comfy in the chair! :)
Did you get any other accessory that you like besides the tray?

AADL will only cover a capped amount from my understanding its $1700 and parents will have to pay the rest out of pocket. I'm in Edmonton, AB. We actually met one night in the hospital ER. I asked about your son's wheelchair 😁

Nadine thanks for letting us know. We heard they weren’t covered anymore but I guess we were told wrong. 🙂

It's so sad that a beanbag chair qualifies as special needs equipment so they slap a $1,500 price tag on it. So upsetting...

Unfortunately, our insurance didn't cover it so we paid out of pocket. However it's worth trying to get a prescription or a written letter from a doctor or specialist to send in with your claim and see if they're willing to compensate some of the cost.
