If you analize the face of him,in the start he has a happy face but with closed eyes,that probably means that he aparently happy but he escapes reality with drugs,and when the effect starts to dissapear he start to open the eyes probably meaning that he starts to see the reality.In the Happy badge (with happy badge I'm refering to the ending called like that when he is in the color maze) he close the eyes again,maybe he dont want to accept his reality and dont want to see it ,i dont know if someone else already said this but i think that his face is symbolic
Honestly the game is really sad you start off being high on drugs and you start to withdrawal but then get more drugs and you end up overdosing and dying It's a story about the cycle of addiction

If you collect the hands before the "we forgive you" teleport the flower turns red and you get teleported to Thomas being chased by monsters, behind the counter there is more pills touch them and you get an alternate we forgive you ending where they say "it's okay to not be okay thomas" and other text but the real world for the alternate ending isn't ready
I made that ending first and now I can't make the one in the video, do you know how to fix that? I think the Monsters chasing Thomas were the familiars from that ending since they match the amount.

When you start at the beginning of the maze go straight foward, straight to your right and straight upward and instead of going straight to your right again, the path to the left wall is where you turn. You can tell it’s the right one when you see a white sphere floating there. Sry if this might be a bit confusing
