1. Every morning, I do 15 minutes of breathwork (I use one of Gaia's videos for this). 2. After that, I practice 30 minutes of meditation (from Dr. Joe Dispenza). 3. Other than that, I work out at least four times a week, which includes group body pump and Les Mills GRIT , and single yoga at home. 4. I follow a good diet (I never drink or smoke).
My mom died from Alzheimer’s. Before I go to bed I pray and thank God for all the blessings I have. I think that might be the same as being grateful for the goodness of the day.
Being grateful to God before sleep is also a wonderful way to love life. Because it's the most wonderful and precious gift that we can ever get . ♥️♥️♥️
I like to do yoga 🧘♀️ before bed , 7:16 2) second I write a gratitude 🙏 list then brush my teeth 3) drink chamomile tea 4 ) take supplements . Or journal
• Putting aside ( turning off) devices to be still, feel, think and review myself and day. • Pray and read something thought provoking & grounding • Stretch • Play music

I'm still working on this it's life changing. The gratitude the reading, revising the day eating for my brain viewing exercise as medicine for the brain and soo much more. I'm two years in to my journey I still am not where I want to be, but I'm in a much better place mentally physically and biologically thanks to you and a handful of other people I study. The sad part about this video it has minimal views in comparison to so much garbage that's put out on a regular basis that is the exact opposite toxic for the brain and that's the stuff people gravitate towards. 😢 I feel pity on the majority thank you for all you do I will continue to follow and study until I become a mystic master of the mind.
Thank you for the video Jim. My husband and I have been asking each other 3 good things every night for the past 8 years before we sleep. It helps you reflect and scan your day to look for positive things, even if small (we don't write it down, just talk about them). We started after hearing about it from Shawn Anchor and it is a simple way to look for positive things in your day and life.
Reading. Stretching and few mins exercise in between. Listening to podcast to learn. Cleaning, organizing. Catch up with a friend outdoor. Meditating and journaling.
The little things that you appreciate, what you appreciate... appreciates. You don't have to wait for a greater life to feel grateful, Feel grateful and you're go'n have a greater life📌
I’m kind of starting that same process. And I think the most important thing is having a “why.” Why do you want to create all these habits? Mine is to better my life, and inspire others and be that example for others to do the same. So having a why is what will help you want to keep going and sticking to it. We have the strength, and discipline, let’s go, this is easy cake. 💪🏽💪🏽 😁
You are absolutely right. When I worked full time and undertook a full time course at Uni, I slept a lot. I had this need to sleep a lot. So instead of studying after my classes, I went to sleep. And in this way I breezed through the course. There is something about sleeping and Jim, you just explained it to me. Thank you! ❤
As a provider of Micro Current NeuroFeedback therapy, I also ensure that my whole family gets a weekly session to help with better sleep, detox our brains, relax the fight or flight mode and have better focus with work and school. Also nutrient-dense eating with those brain foods you always talk about help a lot.
I feel for you, Jim. As my Grandma aged she developed a different form of dementia than Alzheimer's, and I spent over two years living with her as her full-time carer. She was a beautiful soul, as I imagine yours was to you. Regarding the habits I'm going to implement tonight: ceasing work no later than 2 hours before bed, and staying away from screens for the last hour.
Hi everyone! Thanks for your great tips about maintaining good memory, Dr. Jim. On the other hand, being grateful of God is the very, very good for our spirits; for our lives. So say thanks God every single day and every night as well. Some wise persons have said, ''Being grateful is one of the best medicine for life.''
1) I would make sure I get a good sleep. 2) At bed I would go through my day and be grateful too. Although I start my yoga class by being grateful. I feel you should be in a peaceful state of mind before sleep.
cant wait to implement things reviewed in this video to become the better version of myself, thanks for doing your what you do Jim Kwik, thanks to your previous video, about brain break, i learned to juggle, and my cognitive functions improved a lot, thanks so much! I am a big fan of implementing various activities that optimize my brain health, and brain capacity = better life :))
I'm grateful can found your channel today. if you're an islam we also do that called muhasabah/ reviewing our action and today activities ( that our prophets Muhammad saw usually do before sleep), also wudhu and prayers ( 3 rakaat shalat witir) . so I can relate with your topics, this is amazing.
I played music before I sleep before but that has a long time thing I normally do. ...now I just get to my bed and before long, I am already asleep. ...I don't joke with my rest or sleep at all...😆😍😍.
I use to while i am studiing or duing some thing do some micro pause, like 10s randomly. and stil do longer breake every 20- 30 minutes. so i have pomodoro technikue, but i add to it some micro pause. because it should help to better proces information.
Look up some herbs you can drink before you go to bed to help you sleep better. You can try Alice suggestion with the tart cherries or look up fruits that help you sleep faster too🙏✨
Thanks Jim. I first say 3 things I’m grateful for with my partner, snuggle him and then perform yoga nidra body scan. I’m going to take your advise and replay my day. This is a yoga nidra practice as well but we go backwards in time vs forwards. So remembering what happened 1/2 hour ago, the 1/2 hour before that, etc and so on. What’s your opinion of going backwards? It also assists in memory strength. Thanks for all you do!
If you think habits are the key to a limitless memory, then you're probably the kind of person who gets excited about a new workout routine or a new diet plan. Get a life... There's more to life than just following a schedule and being predictable. Youre basically saying that the most memorable moments in life are the ones where you brush your teeth every day and go to bed at the same time.

Breathwork every morning. Gym every afternoon during the week. Prayer. Mindfulness. Meditation. Nightly review every night
My non-negotiable is meditation for atleast 20 minutes a day
Enjoy your life to day
Could someone please help me with this question please?
If you did nothing productive today, should you journal too?
I do 3 minutes of coherence breathing and gratefullness practise
Nice
Some memories are good enough to be memorized
I use to while i am studiing or duing some thing do some micro pause, like 10s randomly. and stil do longer breake every 20- 30 minutes. so i have pomodoro technikue, but i add to it some micro pause. because it should help to better proces information.
Magnificent to me
Takeways:
1. Review the day
2. Remember what you are grateful for
3. Sleep
4. Recall your dream
I am going to work on my memory in2025🫠 .I have a big issue 😢
I’m perimenopausal therefore don’t sleep properly but working on sleeping better
I had that issue and once I started regular exercise it really helped PLUS dried tart cherries about an hour before I wanted to fall asleep.
Look up some herbs you can drink before you go to bed to help you sleep better. You can try Alice suggestion with the tart cherries or look up fruits that help you sleep faster too🙏✨
You have the best shirts my man. Appreciate you Jim. 🤜🏼🤛🏼
I want to be the next jim quick
I always feel sleepy
And my sleep patterns 6 hours to 13, 14 hours sometimes, especially during weekends.😢
Drink chamomile tea, take magnesium, complete the evening section of The 5 Minute Journal, deep breathing, prayer.
Thanks Jim. I first say 3 things I’m grateful for with my partner, snuggle him and then perform yoga nidra body scan.
