So I did it differently. I buy the tool which comes with a battery. Walk right back into home depot, say I got it as a gift and don't have a receipt, get full refund on a gift card for the battery and go buy a different tool deal with that money. It's basically buy a tool and home depot gives you $100 plus towards my next purchase

They did this because people would get the free gift and return the set, but it still works out in the end for us haha.
