  • My armpits are tired.
    I did also just order the Beauty Counter Deodorant because they posted what Im going to call a bogus claim that 100% of the people that tested it had zero irritation when it has a pretty high concentration of baking soda. So I wanted to try that out haha.

    Hi! Thanks so much for taking the time to review. Just wanted to point out that our deo in this video is from before our rebrand! It's since been reformulated to be much easier to remove and it has bamboo extract but no bamboo scent. Again, thanks for your time! If you ever review us again, we'd love if you'd review our current collection. Thanks!

    So glad you came out with this! I'm interested in trying your picks. I'm using Kosas unscented and I like it. I really like the dispenser. It does keep my underarm skin smooth and light in color more than other deodorants. I also appreciate that it doesn't leave stains on my clothes. Works 99% of the time, and most of the time I can go 2 days. But it isn't perfect and it's $15. Crystal is almost as good for $5. I used to love Meow Meow Tweet BS Free Grapefruit but the consistency of the product wasn't good, some sticks were hard as rocks. The hard lumps might be boils (clogged/infected hair follicles) since medical sources say that is a risk with any type of deodorant. Thank you for doing the testing of all these deodorants so we don't have to!

    Wow. U r a brave soul trying all those formulas! I went from conventional to that salt stick u moisten to making my own which ended up irritating my pits terribly- no fun. I do not like red, raw pits. Also definitely a requirement to not have to finger apply in my world! Then I found real purity’s roll on and it’s been at least a decade. Always can find in stock and usually stock up on iHerb sales. I tried the Kosas out of curiosity thinking it was similar and it did not work at all. Owl in a towel makes an amazing hand sanitizer gel I keep in my car so I tried theirs and it was a total no go. My husband liked the purple Cleo coco one but said it started to irritate after a few days. He loves the now foods lavender stick. Definitely a very personal and body chemistry specific product. Amazing job on organizing this! It’s mind blowing to see how many formulas and brands there are!!

    Me! Bumps in my armpits. It took me a while before I realized how much baking soda bothered me. Thank you so much for this video. I just got the kosas a week ago and that has been working the best yet, but we'll see if it continues. I so relate to the skunk smell, the trouble washing deodorants off (I've frequently had to wash 3 times!) And basically all that you're saying. 😅 I have creases in my armpits, more so than most, anything I apply really gets trapped in there. Lol

    Your take on the Kosas made me laugh so hard, especially because right now it's what I am using. Now I'm going to be worried about smelling like curry! 😂 But in all seriousness, I was using Native, and depending on the scent (which made a huge difference on me), it worked pretty well. But, it wasn't making it through my days when I started my new job so I was happy to try the Kosas and so far...so good!!!!! What a difference our individual bodies make! Thank you for all your crazy hard work on this two year long experiment for us!!!

    Hi Danielle 🙋🏻‍♀️ I have gotten underarm lumps as well!!! Too sensitive to baking soda! I know it’s not vegan, but primally pure blue tansy is the only one that works for me and I’m scared to try anything new 😆 maybe the Cleo + Coco. Thank you for investing so much time into making this comprehensive video!!

    I was waiting for it to ask you if you had tried Honestly PHresh. Someone else commented about it. They use prebiotics formulas (Tropical blossom is my fave, but I can't see it on their website). The scent is powerful, I find the texture quite thick but the performance is the best I've found without baking soda

    Yea.......finally get to see the long awaited deodorant video....thank you for all your hard work & testing to make that happen!! 😎 And living in Phoenix, you definitely need a hard working deodorant...lol. I am very surprised to see no mention of the Taos AER deodorant as that has become my holy grail for now. It does have baking soda, but a smaller amount that doesn't cause me any irritation & for me it works just about like a convention product. Didn't love the Palo Santo scent though & use the Grapefruit & Ginger & just ordered some of the Lavender scent to try. I heard someone a while back talk about spraying a little toner on the underarms before putting on deodorant to help avoid irritation, so I do that now everyday...lol. (since I do have sensitivities and have gotten rashes from other products before). I use the Herbal Dynamics Beauty
    , Rose Water calming face toner, as I also love to use that on my face. Happy Friday!!

    I've been using the Ayuna Facial Low as a toner/deodorant and it works pretty well. I have the Kosas but it sometimes irritates my skin. I tried the Real Purity and it definitely worked great, but I also found it irritating--and it leaves a strange film on the skin. I use Routine when I need something that will absolutely work for several hours--I have the bs free Sexy Sadie scent. Excited to try Little Seed!

  • @FromDarknessToLight1218
    @FromDarknessToLight1218 Год назад

    Wow, so thorough! I appreciate it 😊 The Kosas Serene Clean and Little Seed Farm are the only ones who work for me. I love Grapefruit Lemon & Cucumber. Coconut was nice & effective also but wasn't crazy about it.
    I was loving Native but it stopped working for me to where I had to reapply 3 times a day smh not worth it in my opinion. Schmidts needed to be reapplied once throughout a long day.
    Wanted to try Zion Health and Meow Meow Tweet but won't bother now. Primal Pit Paste & Raw Sugar are next on my list... have you tried those?

    I tried the Routine and agree it’s super-fragranced. It also left my clothes greasy, and the charcoal definitely stained. I’m using the scented Kosas, and it’s working great now. I hope that continues 🙂 On the lymph node lumps, I used to get those with conventional deodorants. That’s one of the reasons I now avoid it. I have, however, had breast cancer and had lymph nodes removed on both sides. The weird thing I’ve noticed with some deodorants is that they sometimes work better on one side versus the other. Not sure if anyone else has that issue. 😊

    This video was so helpful. I have found that deodorants with baking soda don't work as well for me. So I will stop buying them. They don't irritate, but they don't work.
    I liked the Little Seed Farm Grapefruit and Lemon, but the other scents didn't work as well for me. It's weird how that happens. My other go to deodorant that you didn't mention is Rustic Maka. The baking soda free ones work great for me and the Dream Catcher scent is amazing. Haven't tried the other scents yet.
    I will have to check out some of your favorites as well.

    Thanks for sharing! Very informative! My fave deodorant right now is kosas unscented. It’s definitely trial and error though! And body chemistry changes so for a while I loved the Kaia naturals deodorant but now that doesn’t work as well. I was really excited for the kosas deodorant but I hate it too. It is like it gets your sweat smell inside it and then you just rub in back on yourself. :( The only ones that really work for me are Native(but i don't like that they use synthetic fragrance and I think I remember it leaving marks), and Rustic Maka charcoal (but I don't super love the texture and very occasionally I have to reapply). I want to try the Honestly Phresh spray deodorants.

    Thank you so much for this video!!! I was so sad when Hola deodorant “disappeared “. I’ve tried Agent Nateur and I’m not a fan. It really is very irritating. Love MMT bs free grapefruit in the jar but not the stick because every time it was way too hard. Honestly as a fluke and I do not support Unilever in any way but I found the Schmidt’s coconut and Kaolin clay which is bs free to be extremely similar to Hola almost like it stole their formula. Green Tidings is also ok in stick form but found MMT in jar was simply better. But thanks again for this!!!!

    Yes! The lump thing also happens to me with some soda bases deodorants!

  • @ashleywarner7995
    @ashleywarner7995 3 года назад

    Baking soda is A.) Wayy to alkaline for the skin and B.) Draws out toxins/heavy metals (that are also very acidic in comparison to baking soda, causing irritation, rashes, swollen lymph nodes, etc.) If you've used alot of antiperspirants in the past (with aluminium) baking soda will be much more bothersome until you get those metals out.
    Doing a pit detox is a good idea. Smelly armpits actually isn't a normal thing. It just shows how many toxins we all have inside.
    Btw, I just recently started using the agent nateur deodorant I had sitting around (because I ran out of my other deodorant) my armpits became swollen, dark, irritated and dry. Also a small lump on one side (likely my lymph node due to where it was). My other brand had baking soda as well, but I guess not as much. I only use deodorant a few times a week & I've never had a reaction to baking soda b4. So either there's a lot in the agent nateur one or it's a combination of the ingredients 🤷‍♀️ I was so intrested in that AHA deodorant- glad I didn't bother!

It causes me no irritation; not even immediately after I sugar-wax my armpits. At 1st, it smells a little weird, but that's the active ingredient. It fades quickly if applied properly (sparingly). Same with their unscented. It's not an antiperspirant; only a deodorant. But I don't care because IT ACTUALLY WORKS! I hope you can look into it, try it, and love it, too 😃!

    Some really hippy raw foodists I know use lemon juice but I can honestly say that they all smell if you get at all close and they must not shave!

    Have never had lumps but absolutely have gotten irritation from baking soda deodorants. My favorite is the grapefruit 'flavor' of Meow Meow Tweet

    Cleo and coco, I tried the blue tansy one, and it was a curry party. Didn't work for me. But I want to give the lavender and vanilla a try now anyway... Armpits warrior?!
    Routine's Sweet Jane and Superstar were quite good on me, no irritations. But I know about the hard nodes, if my armpits don't like a product, they can get to that + a kind of hard skin rash. (it's not clever, but I always keep one superpower deo for days I wanna be sure I won't be smelly at all (you know, when we were going out, to eat, drink or at some events).

    I started using Cleo and Coco deodorant when it first came out on Beauty Heroes and loved it, but after several months it stopped working. I tried every scent and formula. This seems to be a theme for me...I find one that works and it works well for a while and then it does not. I did react the same as you with Routine (tried several scents)...red bumps, it was horrible. That also happened to me with the Meow Meow Tweet. I did like Hola, only got to buy one or two of them before I could not find them anymore. In the past I as able to use Agent Nateur and Lone for a while and liked them until they stopped working. I am about to try Violets Are Blue Magnesium Deodorant. I am hoping to find a couple that work well and rotate them.

      Kimberly Shaw the same thing happens to me but I realized if i choose 2 or 3 different deodorants that work for me and switch them around it solves the problem
