    This can be done very well with one less carabiner as well. Which makes it less hardware intensive. Good lesson.

    So the actual names for it are Transport Hitch or also Poldo Tackle (used by the military). I would advise using clove hitches where you tied your figure 8's which help it adjust better.

    Awesome video guys!!
    However...the analytical nerd in me is now asking:
    WHAT is happening?!
    Are the two carabiners pulling against each other?!
    Is the rope the source of the tension or the two Figure-8's?!
    Now we need a video on the WHY it works.
    Good stuff all around!!
