Great video and great job! I admire each everyone of you who is the part of the marathon. Thanks for sharing your moments and thoughts during the race!
Hi Daniel, I'm currently living in the UK but I'll be in Donegal over the summer. I'm looking at potentially entering the race in ~2/3 years. What part of the country are you in and would it be possible to meet up at some stage?
I had an entry level pair of asics trail shoes and my feet were in bad shape pretty quickly. One of the experienced guys said I had made a big mistake wearing asics, I don't know which shoes you should wear but it's worth researching a bit and spending some time in them before you go.
Good man. It was recorded on a gopro hero 3. I brought 3 spare batteries with me and 2 memory cards. It worked out well. I'd definitely recommend it. Some of the scenery is once in a lifetime stuff.
You actually have to eat a lot of extra salt due to the amount you sweat. It's almost impossible to eat enough salt from food alone and so everyone takes up to 15 salt tablets per day as a supplement.
Thanks Daniel. Out off buying one for years! That's decided it. Regards Craig
Amazing stuff Dan & Niall, well done!!! Inspiring stuff...

Loved your video Dan and well done on your awesome race. How was the waa backpack, I have heard mixed reviews?
The backpack was great, no complaints. I'd recommend training with it at all times before the race to develop back strength. I should have done more.
wowwwww!!!
What shoes would you recommend for this kind of race?
