"Here is what I know. I was one way and now I am completely different and the thing that happened in between was Him." I've never heard the salvation experience so beautifully and eloquently expressed.
Best line in the whole season, "I was one way and now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between was him.". May we all be able to say that to His glory.
I love this scene! The line Mary says is my absolute favourite line. “I was one way, now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between was him.” The is my testimony since I accepted Jesus.
I spent the majority of my 32 years on this earth being a skeptic. Leaning on my own understanding and logic. I got saved last year on 12-31-18. My life has improved dramatically. 2019 has been the hardest and greatest year of my life. I have felt Him working in me & felt him refining me. Those around me have noticed the change, and when questioned about my faith, while I do refer to apologists, nothing can compare to the expression given at 2:42. It goes beyond data, human logic, and expresses something so much more beautiful than anything I believe man can explain. Transformation in Christ. Those few seconds, and her testimony will forever move my heart. I feel the Spirit each time I watch it.
Amen! It's really awesome to know Jesus was a carpenter that was constantly refining his work with wood. The same as He does with our souls, it's an amazing parable to see He is so awesome!
Sometimes I wish I could have one of those life changing moments. All my life I've never seen or witnessed proof that God is real, just what I have heard from others' experiences. Because of that I've always taken a leap of faith in believing. Whenever I'm having a bad day my parents remind me that someone somewhere is having it worse. I don't always acknowledge it but I am grateful for everything I've been blessed with in this life. There are times when I credit this, not to God, but to others. It's easy for me to get lost in my interest for other traditions and faiths, both Abrahamic and Pagan. My beliefs are both spiritual and universal, but no matter what path I follow, I shall never forget where I came from.
"I was one way, and now I am completely different, and the thing that happened in between was Him" This was my story as well. And I too will now know him for the rest of my life.
That tear running down Nicodemus' cheek when she said she was "going to try" to serve shabbat supper. Oh man. The performances here are amazing on TOP of the story of the Master Jesus.
Such a powerful scene! I love how Nicodemus struggles to understand here as his preconceived foundation is beginning to crack. I can't wait to see the rest of his journey to conversion in future episodes. Erik Avari has done an incredible job in this role.
Okay, this is what ALL Christian media SHOULD emulate. This level of quality, passion and talent poured into an amazing project. I LOVE this and I want to see where it goes. Keep up the good work!!!
This is easily my favorite scene from The Chosen. It is representative of my life. "I was one way and now I'm completely different. And the thing that happened in between was Him."
@2:41 "I don't understand it myself. But here is what I can tell you. I was one way, and now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between was Him. So yes, I will know Him for the rest of my life." The simplicity and beauty of Mary's words are immeasurable.
Right on sister! Me too! And I NEVER cry! But I have cried more watching this series than I have watching all the other movies and TV shows combined in my entire life! EVERY single one of these episodes brings me to tears. What an amazing job all these actors are doing btw. Elizabeth Tabish (Mary M) is just amazing! You can't tell me that this cast isn't full of the Holy Spirit!
Redeemed!! "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ our Messiah lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." - Galatians 2:20. HalleluYah!!! Aman!!
@Dark Matter Repurposing Centre "I lift up my eyes unto the hills from whence my help cometh. My help comes from Father YHWH who made Heaven and earth." - Psalm 121:1-2. May the AHAVAH (love) of YAH give you strength! Praying for you and for the whole of mankind. YAHUAH is Love! AMAN.
“ I was one way and now I’m completely different. And the thing that happened in between, was Him.” This captures so beautifully what happens when you give your heart to the Lord ❤️
Hey Folks. I can't speak for anyone else but I can't watch any of these clips without shedding a few tears.😢😢You see, that was me was once too! I once was lost but now I'm found; was blind but now I see!! Praise God for HIS Infinite Mercy!!! GOD IS STILL GOOD 😂😂
I was one way and now i am completely different and the things that happened in between...was him...!!and yes i will remember and praise him for the rest of my life
Wow! The best line in the entire series is delivered by Mary @ 2:50. "I was one way, and now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between was Him." Liz delivered that line perfectly. God bless you, Ms. Tabesh.
This scene is one of my favorite. They are great actors. 2:50 "I was one way, but now I am completly different. And the thing happened between was Him. So yes, I will know Him for the rest of my life."
The amount of sadness and despair in her eyes remembering who she was during the time of her affliction, and now the amount of joy Mary's face when she talks about how she was redeemed by a man who called her, his. This show portrays soooo much of what the gospel is supposed to do to you. And what its supposed to look like. The amount of hate you have for your sin, is but a vapor compared to the amount of joy you have in Jesus name. Ughhhh there is just soooo much you can analyze and dissect from this show, its truly a blessing. Please don't stop making more episodes for this show. Please don't, its truly such a wonderful supplement
I’ve always said this, and I will continue to do so; Erick Avari should be one of the greatest actors of all time, and his portrayal as Saint Nicodemus is ASTONISHINGLY AMAZING
Hallelujah! I can relate to Mary. I was one way too, then came God (Christ) and I have been redeemed, healed from many afflictions. Thank you Lord God Almighty!!!!
What I love most about this series is that we as people actually do relate to these biblical figures in a way like never before. For us Christians I'd imagine most of us can relate ever more so to these transformations that the characters go through when they meet Jesus, and the acting and execution of the lines helps sale that fact. But the characters interactions with Jesus after they are recruited are just as relatable, its sincere and genuine and I love that. Its so beautiful
I showed this show to some people at the Bible College I attend. We were up late at night watch several episodes a night. They just could not get enough, each episode showing Biblical truth yet adding story that does not mess up scripture. They bring these characters to life, and make them more relatable than almost any other version of the Gospels I've see. If you have not watched this series yet, do so. And read in the Bible the stories displayed. You won't regret it. I promise.
Absolutely love this series . Been a Christian for 60 years , but this show is bringing the Bible more alive than ever . The cast , the dialogue , the acting is first rate . I highly recommend it for those out there searching for TRUTH . God IS the answer !
I am so happy that there’s genuinely something GOOD of the scriptures in media. There is so little out there that is engaging, feels natural and yet is being loyal to its material. And that’s nothing to speak of animation. I am so happy there is something that can help me build my imagination as I read now. They were and are real. It’s beautiful. Thank you Dallas, for making something so fun and respectful.
Everyone complaining about the charge.....STOP IT. You guys don’t know anything about production, acting or movie business, and the amount of many it costs. At least $20k, even more in a show like this. How do you expect them to pay for that? From their own pockets? Be quiet and support them or be thankful that at least episode one is free..... I don’t care whether you would act for free, these people don’t and the obviously aren’t going to recruit you. So zip it and be thankful that such a powerful series about our Saviour Jesus Christ is being produced.
She speaks from such strong binding love deeply in her heart. One of such gratitude, appreciation and loyalty. She speaks from the innocence she was under the impression she had lost. She spoke of Him with such conviction and honour. ✝️🦋💝 Brought me to tears as my devotion grows every single moment of every single day. To know Him is truly a most wonderful amazing majical gift. 🙏🦋
"I was one way and now i'm completely different, and the thing that happened in between was Him; i am His; i am healed, that much is clear..." ahh, i need a sweet melody for this verse!
Erick Avari is such a great actor, and the interaction between the talent of Elizabeth Tabish is SO moving!!!!! It's such a beautiful scene and testament!!
I love how they give more in depth in what Mary of Magdala may have gone through with her possession with 7 demons before and after Jesus delivered her! LOVE this show and will never tire of saying this!
She is a beautiful and powerful actress, please let her know her Mary of Magdala is a deeply emotional, strong, and yet sweet and vulnerable character! Thank you for bringing this wonderful new approach to Christ and his inner friends into our lives, inviting us to become The Chosen!
Jesus Christ healed me! This is my story about my healing!I was extremely ill! I had diabetes and kidney failure, which urgently requires dialysis! I prayed to God to heal me, not for me, because I don't deserve it, but for my little children, who were left without a mother! in exactly that day, in which I prayed, the Lord healed me! I suddenly felt the pain in my kidneys go away, as well as the dryness in my mouth (diabetes). I'm a new women now! I thank the Lord for His mercy and love for us!!!!
Woof! This entire ministry quickens my breath and makes me weep. This is a very blessed endeavor with it will Bless any one that hears it. "He with ears let him hear. He with eyes let him see."
Incredible! So excited about this! Please share more with people, it’s so wonderful! We are loving what your doing, and love Pureflix! We are waiting for the dvd to come, we couldn’t get it streaming on our tv, only on computer, so we can’t wait to watch this together as a family, and we already know what we are sending friends and family well ahead of time this year for Christmas! Lol! Please share more here if the episodes, I think others will want to help who can, keep trusting God, we are praying for you all Dallas and The Chosen team! Thank you! We are praying for Pureflix and sharing it with others too!
IN episode 7 "Invitations" it begins with Moses forming the bronze snake that was lifted in the desert...(2 Kings 18:4) and the scene where Jesus is talking to Nicodemus about just as Moses lifted up the bronze snake in the desert, so shall the Son of man be lifted up... I have watched many Jesus movies many many times and heard that scripture and NEVER linked it together, until The Chosen explained the meaning behind it. Thanks to the Chosen series it has helped me understand more of what I have read in d seen in Jesus movies and actually understand what it is saying!! That is so awesome that I now understand what Jesus meant about the bronze snake! THANK YOU "The Chosen" you have blessed me so many ways!!!
What a winning production , many souls will he harvested from this , and many who have lost some zeal will be recharged over this , our lord is coming back soon , look around an see things that were told to us , praise GOD .
A character arc for every characters! Wow. I was moved by the way Nicodemus is being portrayed. It's beautiful. And how Mary Magdalene's story unfolds, when it was just a sentence long backstory in the Bible.
@Noah Perez Bro, Luke 8:1-3 Soon afterward he went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with him, and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities: Mary, called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, and Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod's household manager, and Susanna, and many others, who provided for them out of their means. There are other verses, which talks about her deliverance from 7 evil spirits. What I mean to say is, the portrayal of Mary Magdalene might not be the exact representation. And I remember during one of their interviews that they said, this is a show and they aren't trying to bring a different gospel. The way they have given a backstory adds to the drama of it. Something that people can relate to more. Her deliverance has become significant and it talks volumes to many. There are highlighted miracles written in the scriptures, which does bring a lot of light to our darkest times. The deliverance of Mary Magdalene though not that significant but the portrayal of deliverance is divine. I see God at work through this Multi web series, because most of the movies of Jesus haven't shown everything in detail though some has shown the a part of life of Jesus to an extent, but this Multi web series has done justice in bringing the audience to see the humanity of Jesus, not just His deity side. I mean, its written in the scriptures he was accused of having a party at sinner's house, we have no idea what really was their conversation but His approach to the sinners was nowhere close to Pharisees. There was humour, emotions and we see Jesus who was socializing. Everyone except the hypocrites were attracted to Jesus. There are scenes which brought us to the moment of tension and I binge watched what would be the next though I know what's going to happen For e.g., we read that Jesus hid himself from the Pharisees when they planned to catch him and arrest him, because it wasn't His time. The episode where they paralytic man, the Roman soldiers coming to disperse the crowd brought a lot of tension to the scene. And we see Jesus leaving the place. The director and the actors have brought the emotions well into our hearts. By reading some of the comments, this show has encouraged many to read the Bible. Bro, you should not take to heart that this is against the scripture, it's one's perception on the scripture, at the same abiding in its Word.
This is one of my Favorite Favorite parts. To God be the Glory!!! Thank you JESUS!!! God made sure that Nicodemus was Not going to take credit for that 😁🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Such a memorable scene. Not only does the writing bring out the wonder of the Mary's deliverance and its effect on Nico, but the two actors exquisitely trace every statement back to its emotional roots. And don't miss the impact of the music. If you haven't viewed this series yet, I encourage you to do so. I have watched it several times on DVD, and it's so well done on all levels that it bears repeated watching.
Good thing there are so many giving by grace what was given to them by grace the gospel. As for the merchants of the truth, they will.have their just rewards in due time. Glory to God.
Finally...someone giving the story a real telling. Not scared of the Jewish culture of Jesus and not afraid to tell the stories of the humanity. I have waited for a long time for this. Glad to finally see it.
THANK YOU JESUS, ALL GLORY, HONOR, POWER & DOMINION TO YOU & YOU ALONE MY SAVIOR & LORD. I WAS BLIND BUT NOW I SEE........SUCH AMAZING GRACE. I LOVE YOU MY LORD & SAVIOR - PRAISE YOUR PRECIOUS HOLY & ALMIGHTY NAME, YOU ALONE ARE WORTHY ❣️🙏🏻🎺⛅️👑🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🙏🏻❤️
All of us who know the Lord can summarize our transformation the same exact way. I was one way, and now I'm completely different. And the thing that happened in between was Him! Thank You Lord for finding me on that cold October night in 1976.
You have made a wise decision. The wisest of decisions. Stand strong in your faith. No matter what. Hold steady in your walk. And one day you'll hear "Well done, good and faithful servant."
"He performs Miracles and seeks no credit". I love Jesus! Such an example of humility and selflessness!
Those words jumped off the screen when I heard them
Jesus is free not to sell...
So I will know Him rest of my life,!!!
He does it out of pure love and humility. That's how we all should live our lives. Like Jesus.
Jesus said "Go and do likewise"
Nicodemus is the best example of man seeking and acquiring knowledge and being humble at the same time. I really admire him.
I would to God today's preachets were like this man
He's one of my favorite people from the New Testament.
"Here is what I know. I was one way and now I am completely different and the thing that happened in between was Him." I've never heard the salvation experience so beautifully and eloquently expressed.
That made me tear up! So beautiful and profound!
Amen

I had the exact same experience. I love this show and Jesus so much
I’m wearing that now!
Best line in the whole season, "I was one way and now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between was him.". May we all be able to say that to His glory.
Get used to different.

Nicodemus is such a wonderfully empathic man. He was a great addition to this interpretation of Jesus' time.
He Called Me Mary... He said "I Am His..." that was such a beautifully done scene :)
@smarter than a liberal You're right that it was a weird choice of name.
My favorite scene so far---it made me cry. "I have redeemed you." I love the portrayals of His love.
I love this scene! The line Mary says is my absolute favourite line. “I was one way, now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between was him.” The is my testimony since I accepted Jesus.
That was a very beautiful line
Amazing Direction sir
Praise God!!! Welcome to the Kingdom.
Amen! It's really awesome to know Jesus was a carpenter that was constantly refining his work with wood. The same as He does with our souls, it's an amazing parable to see He is so awesome!
God Bless you brother :)
Amen. Absolutely, and best wishes on your continued awakening
Sometimes I wish I could have one of those life changing moments. All my life I've never seen or witnessed proof that God is real, just what I have heard from others' experiences. Yes! His tear always touches my heart in such a profound way.
The actor for nicodemus deserves all the awards. 🎉
Such a powerful scene! I love how Nicodemus struggles to understand here as his preconceived foundation is beginning to crack. I can't wait to see the rest of his journey to conversion in future episodes. Erik Avari has done an incredible job in this role.
Tyler Friel Yes! I’m looking forward to John chapter 3 to be acted out!
Tyler Friel So amazing, isn’t it? I just love this!

This is one of the best moments in the show. Her testimony is beautiful!
A character arc for every characters! Wow. I was moved by the way Nicodemus is being portrayed. It's beautiful. And how Mary Magdalene's story unfolds, when it was just a sentence long backstory in the Bible.
@Noah Perez
Bro, Luke 8:1-3
Soon afterward he went on through cities and villages, proclaiming and bringing the good news of the kingdom of God.
@Noah Perez funny, well then the mistake is on my side.
Can I like this like a thousand more times
This is one of my Favorite Favorite parts. To God be the Glory!!! Thank you JESUS!!! God made sure that Nicodemus was Not going to take credit for that 😁🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I get chills watching this!
Beautiful! I feel the energy and can relate to how Mary feels. God is good and thankful I found your amazing stories here. Thank you.

Finally...someone giving the story a real telling. Not scared of the Jewish culture of Jesus and not afraid to tell the stories of the humanity. I have waited for a long time for this. Glad to finally see it.

"I was one way and now I am completely different. And the thing that happened in between was Him"
All of us who know the Lord can summarize our transformation the same exact way. I was one way, and now I'm completely different. And the thing that happened in between was Him!
Thank You Lord for finding me on that cold October night in 1976.
if you dont mind me asking, what was your story? if its personal that's absolutely ok.
I Love Jesus, I was one way and now I’m completely different, and the in between was him🙏🙏🙏🙏
As powerful a message as there’s ever been…It was Him.
Elizabeth Tabish is an incredibly gifted actress. Truly. Better than any of those in Hollyweird.
Watching the end with Dallas is light years away from last night's AWESOME 'QVC' livestream. I love the progression God has taken all of us on.
Today is my 30st bday and I have decided to surrender my life Jesus Christ our Savior. This is my best birthday ever!! 😘🙏🥀
You have made a wise decision. The wisest of decisions. Stand strong in your faith. No matter what. Hold steady in your walk. And one day you'll hear "Well done, good and faithful servant."

I was one way and now I am completely different and the thing that happened in between was Him.
what a beautiful phrase!
In the eyes of Jesus, He sees no sinner. He sees only the Radiant Children of God, His Father. That's how Jesus redeem all.
No, thats not the whole truth. You seem to believe that you will not be changed. Watch that scene again and learn.
The best scene, so astonished the way it's portrayed!
I was like Mary, Jesus saves . I love this part .
Me too
Amen
I am Redeemed too.
What a Savior we have.
