Oh the mess behind creative genius♥Oh Kayla I wish I were working on small projects but oh no I have started Christmas 2024 by doing a blanket for each of my two daughters and three of my granddaughters and my daughter-in-law. That's six blankets! Geez why did I choose to do each of them a blanket!!! Hopefully they will have a keepsake piece from me. I'm only a third of the way on the first blanket. I had COVID for the first time ever on Christmas and New Years. We had to wait until the second week in January to do Family Christmas, and if I was truthful I really wasn't well enough to do it then but we did. I'm thinking from the lack of energy I have that I may be suffering with "long Covid". I pray not but I'm just having trouble doing anything without having to rest many times in between and I sleep all the time. But with the help of the good Lord I will get these projects completed by Christmas. Hope you are starting to recover from your surgery and looking forward to seeing the cute things you are making. I’m working on a shawl to give a friend for her 70th birthday in April. The main color is a beige colorway called Mocha. Then around the bottom there are 3 contrasting stripes in a rich dark brown, which is called Black Walnut. Both yarns are Premier anti pilling Everyday DK. The pattern is from Yarnspirations I think and it was inspired by the show Outlander. I believe the character, Claire, sometimes wears a similar shawl. My friend is a huge fan of the Outlander book series, so I thought this gift would be perfect for her.

On Wednesday, I was in a hospital undergoing an uncomfortable procedure and remembering the last one that resulted in a new valve and a stroke that messed with my memory, my ability to talk, add, organize, and crochet at the least! This one went much smoother! Praise God!

I understand wanting to crochet something easy sometimes. I've been making hats while I should be finishing up a raffia hat, a vest and a sweater. Instead I'm trying to make a hat out of 5 granny squares. Saw a pic and wanted to try it! Startitus is the word I've heard you use before😂 So very thankful to watch your videos again!

You’ve got the wilderness channel without even trying. I’ve even working a couple of afghan kits. One Isa granny square Annie’s the other is a mosaic square kit. I finished the granny for this month. I’ve got a few rows left for center motif for the mosaic.

Phoebe sounds like a squeaky toy! She’s too precious. I’m working on a sweater from MJ Designs. It’s the Rocky Mountain Colorblock Pullover. I’m making mine in a solid color though. I’m halfway through the first sleeve and the body is complete.

I’m working on several projects right now of course. I’m doing Juan the Yarn Addict’s CAL . 2squares a week done twice for 6 weeks. Also a baby afghan and a Daisy Chain shawl. Gotta stay busy and productive. If I could I would be sewing and making junk journals at the same time. Take care.

I just finished a modified Bag O Day pullover sweater. Changed the neckline and I left the bottom band open with 3” slits on each side. Otherwise it’s as she wrote it.
Weather has been so crazy lately, I haven’t felt well either. The cold 🥶 and the rain both make me achy 😣.
Got to get busy and figure out what is going on my hook next 😂!!

U can check a hospital maternity wrd to see if they would like lil hats and dishcloth size blankets for the babies that dont get to fullterm. Families would then ba able to dress their little one to take pics and to bury them in or have as a keepsake

I have taken to pulling out my cotton yarn to make household items for family. Hot pads and coasters are next on my list. I grew up doing embroidery And fabric painting. Crochet I picked up in high school from my girlfriends. So, not much space in our temporary apartment so I have to exert restraint in my crafting supplies nd mess!

I am working on knitting a hat for my 9 year old son using yarn bee cozy toes sock yarn. I love that yarn and ot is discontinued, but I did find some on etsy. I am also working on a crocheted ruana wrap for my 9 year old daughter. I have made all 5 of them some crochet slipper socks using your pattern. They love them. I plan to make some more for them.

Working on another baby blanket...frogged the last one I 'd started. This one is turning out better. I think we're getting rain here too. Still have snow on the ground so it's a sloppy mess in the driveway. Got a doctor's appointment tomorrow so hope it's not bad driving. Tuesday I turned around after a mile or so & cancelled my dentist appointment. I just am not driving when it's that icky!
I'm working on a cardigan worked with DC thermal stitch. This is for my son who has sensitive skin, so I can't use acrylic or wool. I'm using doubled up stenli souffle yarn and a 4mm hook.
