Please do not purchase contacts off of Amazon. If you live in the US, it is ILLEGAL to sell contacts without a prescription from an eye doctor, even if you don't wear glasses. Additionally, some people are just not compatible with contacts - many people are allergic, or have prescriptions that cannot be filled by contacts. Your eyesight is not worth messing with for beauty.

I feel like there should be a big asterisk clarified that this tutorial is only encouraging people to use it for cosplay purposes and not for general appearances, *not* even if it’s occasional or only posted on Instagram. People who see this on Instagram should know it’s not real and not subconsciously keep expecting it as a beauty standard for women. Outside of using it to look like something from animation that’s deliberately stylized, which would be fine, it’s harmful to encourage anyone to do this in any space that people will think it’s real, especially with using Amazon bought contact lenses that can be dangerous

I have 2 beautiful daughters that do play with my makeup, but I make sure I let the know, that makeup is just that, something to play with. It doesn't make them anymore beautiful than what they already are. The fact that parents are holding social media responsible for the things they are supposed to do as parents, is insane to me. It is our responsibility as parents, to let our children know social media is an exaggerated place, that makes content for entertainment. Some people have double eyelids naturally so I don’t think everyone uses eyelid tape

I’m not gonna lie on a dating app someone asked me if I was Asian (btw not, got like 0.2%; ethnically Hispanic) because of how big my eyes looked in my photos. I don’t use any filters and don’t wear makeup. My eyes are naturally like that. Maybe curl my eyelashes a bit more to have this look but they are naturally long. I genuinely admire people that create this look cause I got no make up skills whatsoever.
I think its cute, and it prob helps their confidence so good for them! But to all my age folks out there (teenagers) this doesnt mean you should do the same thing, you’re beautiful on your own(;
