Overnight train, If we remember correctly, about 12 hours, but there was a delay so times may vary. We suggest planning for a longer than expected trip, but it's so worth it. Everyone was so friendly and they sold some really good food on the train, some we had, some we didn't.
How long did it take you to get to your destination? We booked from da nang to ho chi minh city and we have to catch a flight to Singapore several hours right after. I just wanted to see if we could make it to our flight. Thanks 😊

Your first error, don't wait until you are there to buy a ticket. Go to somewhere like 12GO and buy your ticket well in advance. Some times of the year you won't get a ticket on anything other than a hard seat. Don't be a tightwad and get a bed in the 4 berth, not the 6 berth.

there's no restaurants on the trains, very old system! they come around with carts, but I'd bring my own food if you're a hungry hungry person
