I have Tucson 1.6 CRDI AWD (2022), and on my side they replaced DPF filter twice (first they changed the PM sensor, after that DPF, and after 6 months they changed the second DPF). And after your video looks like I have to go to Hyundai and change for Petrol engine. Thanks for the video.
Hi all & Mr. Jimmy : have same issue with Hyundai Venue 1.5L diesel. DPF sensor shows -0.786 Mbar(when switched off too). but the exhaust end is clean and there is no soot as shown in the above video. Used the Dealers diagnostic tool & things that I had noticed: > As said earlier DPF is too low at idle: - 0.786 Mpbar (also when off too) & 40 Mbar at 3100rpm > The car had 3 static regens (forced regen) at the dealer's shop > Soot content is 85% (correct me if I typed wrong) > Post the regen car would run about 10 miles and DPF error would pop up > Now asked for DPF cleaning (off the engine cleaning) > The OIL dipstick is above the Max level & when oil is touched it is pretty much diluted (my opinion). The Tech guy from Dealer says its okay > At the start of the day, the car struggles a bit & shakes with a bit of squeaking noise when starting > ohhh yeah there is no error codes just the DPF sign So wondering if changing the oil it would help with clearing the DPF sign..(like the Videos on Honda DPF issue no codes ) keep you posted
So the dealer replaced the PM(partical matter )sensor[I am surprised too]& as said the exhaust was cleaned by removing the unit from the car & re installed. For now the car did not throw DPF error😮 after taking delivery and crossed 10miles{again surprised 😅} asked dealer to replace the engine oil & oil filter but in said no need 😢 hmmmm Wierd
Jimmy, as you say, the DPF pressure language is different on some vehicles. have you had a chance to look at Jaguar Land Rover under delta pressure instead of DPF pressure. it tends to read much better than the 0,1,2,3 DPF pressure, but psi is actually HPA on the launch scan tool. it's a screwy reading, but much more usable and accurate.
My son has 2 year old Hyundai Santa Fe. 38,000 kilometres. DPF light came on. Took it to Hyundai under warranty. They had it for weeks and couldn’t find the issue. Ended up replacing the whole DPF system. Either they just don’t know or the Hyundai system is rubbish.
Having same issue! Did you finally change the differential pressure sensor ? What should be the normal readings for differential pressure in a Hyundai tucson or Santa Fe?
When you clean the dpf by spraying the solution in, does this only help breakdown soot content or does this target the ash as well so helps reduce the ash load in the DPF?
Great video as usual. I was going to say the same thing. We know the pressure sensor is faulty as it’s reading negative pressure when not running however the manometer would have let you know how bad or good the DPF was.
P2003 is unique to Korean cars. Driving a Kia Carens CRDi 1.7 having the same code now. At idle, pressure shows -5.1 to -7.8. At 3k rpm, pressure is 80-100 mbar. Yes it is a bit blocked but regeneration interval is 240km which is normal for Korean cars. The DPF pressure for the Tuscon is too low at 25 mbar 3k rpm. Like you say, it should be 40-50 mbar. Low pressure may meant the DPF filter element is broken and not holding pressure. Most Hyundai and Kia have a PM sensor. Just replaced mine at high cost.
That’s a first Jimmy, but only cos you couldn’t get a sensor so I will let you off, lol. I do like seeing your customers mooching around in the background while you are doing the diagnostics and giving us the feedback. 33mpg the dash read for a 2.0 diesel, jeez, that’s pitiful ain’t it?
Hi, did replacing the sensor solve the problem? I've got this error, dpf was washed in special machine, I change sensor, two sensors, different company show pressure -9 bar when engine is off. I did diff pressure senssor reset by three testers. Now I'm ordering original sensor, wiring is good...
@@poiuytreee No. I did this things: changed diff pressure sensor, washed dpf, changed EGR, washed inlet, washed radiator EGR......still the same problem with light on
hi jimmy you help me out with a fews things thanks you. You dont mind me asking you how have you got internet on your Euro Tab 3 everywhere you go thank you

Very well explained Jimmy. Thank you.

I wonder if the tubes to the sensor have been swapped to the wrong way around
Different lengths
The garage previous probably kept doing forced regens and fkid it

Did u check with mano meter to confirm the pressure?

Hello normal pressure for differential sensor for tucson 2.0d 185cv 2016
Have same engine on the kia with -9 mbar and change the sensor and reset it and still reading -9... The live data shows -9 then N/a on and off
Hi Jimmy, can you help me out with this? Even with the car off its still the same value with either sensors

Hi jimmy, great videos, Have you ever had any issues with Volvo xc60's diesels ?
Just the EGR system clogs up
Happened with me to many forced regens, new d.p.f . 1 ruined engine. Hate diesels now. Petrol every time for me much simpler

Is 33mpg really that bad?

Hey, have you fixed this problem yet? I have same situation. I think it van be PM sensor.
These clog up to fuck in the intake manifold too. Mine was like a coal mine after 70k
How maney times you put in dpf cleaner, when you understand dpf is gone forever or its aftermarket shit?
I don’t know how maney

Hello Jmmy, why don't you clean it ?
you cant clean a broken dpf, its still broken!!
I think shes goin to get a dpf delete 😢
Unfortunately You can't delete the dpf on Hyundai and kia cars the ecu is very smart you cannot unlock it
I have the same problem with my kia Sportage and I did everything to fix it but it didn't 😢
Me too bro
Me to , had to get rid and get petrol
Jimmy is there any other reason for a sensor to read minus
Yeh, when it’s really cold 🥶
Bad ECU could cause it
@@ORileysAutos cheers
Can't win them all especially if they are made to break
