I am a big fan of any speaker design that uses wood. I do not have any science to back this up😀, but personally just believe the wooden enclosures sound better that any plastic mould design.
I had the 815 for a few years. Good sound not as strong as they claim and had many many relibility problems. Could not realy on them at all any more. Now i am with rcf 745. Great speakers
@@Wouter.ErweeTech one amp had to be replaced after 3 years, both of them had internal buzzing that shuold not hapend in a 2k pro speaker. I picked up a pair on Offerup early this year for $2000. I pair them up with the Srx 900 series subs and they sound amazing with a 80hz filter on them. Only issue is one of them seems to freeze up. I cant dial anything on the screen it goes extremely slow and gets hot
Hi there, Every SRX I have ever seen had auto voltage detection. AC Power Input: 100V - 240V~ 50/60 Hz. Meaning it will automatically detect input power voltage and adjust accordingly. This might not be the case depending on where you are in the world. Should be labelled right below to the IEC connector on the back. As for a conditioner, I do not see the need for it unless you are sure the power fluctuates often. These are often more used for sensitive rack equipment. Can you elaborate on why you think you need a conditioner/regulator?
@@Wouter.ErweeTech Thanks for your answer. I am in the state of Arizona, USA. Since the JBL SRX835P speakers are somewhat expensive, I was watching videos where they explain that you have to take care of your sound equipment, so I was thinking if my speaker needed to be protected when connecting it to electricity. With your answer, do you tell me that I can use it directly to any outlet in a house or event hall?
Yes, you could certainly use them. With that said, they are certainly not designed for Home Theater use. You would be much better served with a SONOS system and it would be half the price.
Bose was the first to come out with the mini line array technology years ago. Love some of their products. I will definitely be doing a review and also some comparison videos of BOSE products.
Thank you!@@Wouter.ErweeTech I was thinking to use with VS21 . But some people saying that it is just over priced. What would you recommend as sub ( small venue for EDM ) I prefer punchy and kicky rather than loudness. My concern is clean, neat sound. Own JBL sub?
Yeah, doing a sound demo via RUclips is in my opinion net going to tell you that much. So many variables: 1. Microphone used to record the audio for this video 2. Playback used to listen to video on RUclips My thoughts are that if you are only going to be using this speaker for your own events you should definitely book a sound demo at your local retailer and decide for yourself regarding sound quality. If you are planning to have these cabinet be used by Audio Technicians or Sound Designers at events, they will be more than happy with the sound quality.
beware !!!!! of this speakers , the CROWN AMPS are shit quality , i bought 2 speakers and one of them amps was repalced under warranty and the other one is gone too , they are buzzing and cost for one is 1000 euros and no one can repair them , only new one and the wait time is 2 months

Qsc is dumpster juice. Their speakers have no low end, they sound like tweeters. And the new ks118 only lasted me two events. Srx815p with my dbx eq sounds amazing... just one 815p shook my whole house. The only thing I don't like about the 815 and 835 is their weight, it definitely takes some effort putting them on the stands. But you gotta pay the price for paradise
The RCF ART 945 kills this. That 4 inch horn in the RCF is so clean. The 15 inch woofer is amazingly clean.
I love RCF products! I recently listened to the 945 at NAMM 24 and it sounded great!
Fun fact, in years gone by JBL speakers contained RCF drivers.
I like my Mackie DRM Series 15" (215). Made of wood. 135db SPL & 1600 watts. Excellent road ready speaker.

Mackie's a really solid for the price but these are a league above
I have the older PRX815's and use them for indoor and out door gigs. It sounds good and has good headroom.
The do have a lot of headroom compared to some other speakers that you need to push into the red.

You got to find the one that works best for you! Everyone’s ears hear different things and sometimes there are bad batches that come out of a factory.
Could you please tell me which has the best sound, regardless of price or any other factors: the JBL PRX 815 or the JBL PRX 915?
Hello,
I personally think the 815P actually sounds better. In my opinion wood built cabinets just sound better.

2k is a decent price for those! I have actually heard of this issue before and that a firmware update seemed to solve the issue.
@@Wouter.ErweeTech I’m definitely going to look into that! Thank you 🙏🏼
Good looking JBL. Price is higher but should last. Incredible SPL 137db.
Yeah, the SPL on these are pretty impressive!
Does the SRX series need a conditioner or a Voltage Regulator?

I currently have the JBL eo612 powered speaker, is anyone familiar with both? is it worth the upgrade ?
Eon is probably what you’re talking about. Both the PRX and SRX are a big step up. I’d say start with the PRX
Yes, PRX is your next step. They are also more of an investment compared to your EON's.
Any issues with bass on 815 i have the 835 and the bass on that sounds way better i havnt messed woth setting I might do that next
Let’s not forget the Bose F1 812 and suds….please do a review on the Bose

Rcf 9 also good
how about putting JBL SRX815P in car with portable Eco Flow battery pack that should sound amazing
Is it good for indoor? Everybody makes reviews for mobile dj's 😅
YES! This speaker can be used indoor, outdoor, corporate function, festival or even stage monitor.

When reviewing speakers or amps please give watts in rms and not peak. Program power is what counts
2000W Peak, 1500W Continuous
Meyer Upa1p is the best quality nice sound speaker of the world😊
Yeah, I totally agree with you, but there is also a significant price difference between a K12.2 and UPA1P.
