Eric give's the best log carving tutorial's on the internet . Please do not stop , your a natural instructor and great artist and you are going to be a huge RUclipsr . Thanks for sharing .
Great, concise video man. This is the first video of yours I've seen. Two questions: 1. What type of wood are you using & how did you get it? 2. Why is there an inherent risk of splitting when doing a full log, as you say?
A client of mine in South Texas last some huge talk palms due to the freeze in going to see if he want me to cut them down but so they aren't a complete loss I will leave them 8 6 feet tall and carve a tiki thanks for info
Thats all i really do is tiki dudes on old trees and bowls nice vids you got good teaching I use a arborteck turbo plane a lot too save time oo brushing strokes saves a lil mony on flap disk the holy galahad is nice too dont get the fine one clogs up too fast
Just found, and subscribed to this channel. Thought it was kind of funny to watch the mushroom video from March of last year, and Eric was surprised he hit 75 subscribers. Less than a year later, and he's past 2500.
This is exactly what I was looking for! And kickass tutorial! Thanks - Question for you, Eric - where do you typically get your wood from? May be a stupid question, but do you find downed trees or do you get them from local mills? Thanks!

Très beau travail merci. Je débute dans la sculpture sur bois à la tronçonneuse etc donc ça me donne des idées.🙂
Thank you for that video, I found it quick, informative and stayed on point. For those three reasons i subscribed, hit the like and commented.👍👍👍
Thanks I need to do a Tiki carve for a fund raiser. I'll give it try .
Class workmanship as always completed to a high standard. I've done one already however now I'm going to revisit my idea.
I like this video man your simpler, core concept helped something click for me. Thanks.

Eric, what would be your #1 choice for a blocking-out saw? Something big and just torque-y as hell... name it.
i enjoy the ms 271 (farm boss) 3/8 round edge chain on an 18"bar

Always interesting and good instruction. I was thinking of getting a Foredom rotary tool but may just go with a Dye Grinder...it does a good job.
Damn impressive use of tools.
Great job mate! Always love seeing the notification that you have a new vid out! What are your highest volume selling carvings?

What kind of wood can you use?
What tool did you use that has the burr on it, 3/4 way through the video, used for squaring everything up.
