I learned a tip for burgers. Form your ground meat into one large patty and then score it (into fourths in this case), then, form the sections into patties. Helps remove the guesswork so you have equal sized burgers.
this is helpful! thank you!

These are great! I made these on my George Foreman and minus that smoky flavor from cooking on charcoal, they're GREAT! Spot on with the flavor profile on jamaican jerk. I would love to find some pamento wood to make jerk with every now and then
what did you assemble the burger with (bun & condiments)?
OMG I wish you could pass me one through the screen ! I'm going to do this with ground turkey ! Thanks Chris :-)
good choice with the turkey. have fun
You rock Chris ! :-)
Yum, those are going on my bbq tonight.
enjoy
Love ya recipes Chris, gotta get me another grill for this. Spring is trying to come here in WV but two days chilled rain makes me wish even more for a grill to warm myself as I try your inspired burgers. Lucky enuf to have a Kroger Grocer that has some real peppers. I dunno if it'll ruin em but I'd have to do something to preserve them until. .... how'd you go about that?
Excellent video
much thanks
caribbeanpot no problem. Keep cooking that good Jamaican food.

"ultimate jerk burger" was my nickname in high school
Gonna try to veganize this!

Looks good brother ah me dat tonight
let me know your thoughts when you test drive it
Perfect, not as good as yours but it went down good bro thanks as always
Can I use the marinate for chicken or steak?
Hi Chris can you do an oil down recipe.
Where would you normally find pimento wood, if I heard you correctly? And do you prefer lean ground beef 85/15 or fattier, 75/25?
Your videos are always great, recipes are amazing. Im sure you probably already know but if you wanted to you could get pimento wood chips online.
thx for the kind comments. To be quite honest I'm not a huge fan of smoke (meats, fish etc), so while I know it can be sourced online, I'll keep the CC in my pocket for now.
That looks like heaven. Marry me!
contact me so we can set a time and place to exchange vows
Hey, what does pimento wood taste like? For the amount of love and regret makes me wonder if no one makes a Liquid Smoke version of it!?
Pimento is also known as Allspice. That should give you an idea what it tastes like.
Hello everyone my name is Charles E Duhaney very good
Are you not allowed to order pimento wood? There is a place by me that sells it.
HEY CHRIS, U SHOULD OF BUILT A BURGER, AND MADE A PINEAPPLE SALSA TO PUT ON , U COOK THE BURGERS, U SHOULD FINISH BY MAKING A BURGER,💪✌️👍👊🙏🍺🍻
Hi Chris. Any vegan version of this you might suggest?
😑😒
In America we don't put eggs on our burgers, only in meatloaf and meatballs, you should of put some Worcestershire sauce in it also.
What part of the Caribbean are you from?
He's from Trinidad.
I'm trying to get away from ground beef/red meats. Could I use ground chicken or ground turkey instead?
most definitely.
I agree - NO EGG & BREAD CRUMBS in burgers!!!
However - you need a better soy sauce man. The one you using is cheap and just all salt- no flavour. Try KIKOMAN. Brewed like a wine, it is a world of difference! AND it comes lo-sodium! Excellent recipe. I have a jerk marinade I've made in the fridge. Gonna do this instead of chicken or pork! Great idea!
did you say Kikoman? No pardna, can't stand that Americanized SoySauce. But at the end of the day, if it's your fave, who is me to disagree. Thanks for the feedback and support. That said, if you get their soy sauce directly from Japan (tasted some in Seoul), it's much different than what we get 'manufactured' here.
+caribbeanpot ya
In Chicago we call the jerk burgers Eddie Murphy burgers 😭😃🤣😫🤣😃😭
what sort of person gets upset about wood in bbqing, as long as its not treated amirite?
Any garlic added to this recipe
I'm tired of people stealing my ideas lol
No garlic ?
Yo! Cris u know this cooking thing but try not working the beef that much ur burger would b much juicier
Dry burger way over cook but look good.
Rohan Murray Its called well done ! Not raw with blood still in it
Ease into medium well at least! keep it juicy man
Benji Berigan everbody doesn't like raw burgers
@Deadly Vibez Thats raw and thats disgusting!
@Deadly Vibez listen if you like raw thats your business! But yea it is if its pink in the middle! Thats still raw and disgusting!
I dont expect you to understand ! You are a white man and you people love raw food ! Thats sick and animalistic
@Deadly Vibez You like raw food dude ! Thats sick and that pic of yours is definitely white!
dude...1/4 million subs...get a good camera
now how do you know what Camera/s I have BTW, this is still at 1080 which is the norm on YT.
Well you said you used your phone. try a tripod and a real camera.I often see youtubers get sloppy once their channel starts paying well..I enjoy your channel
5 cameras and 3 tripods. It was 41C out and the heat may have effed up my Canon and Sony, so I opted for the iPhone. The tripod does not have an attachment for the iPhone. Not getting sloppy, doing ah McGuyver so I could complete the video. BTW, doh sleep Iphone video.. MANY top youtubers and video content creators use it. Even stuff you see on traditional tv.
Made exactly the same way Chris did. This was nothing to call home about.
YOU RE MY SOUL BROTHER, EAT POPEYES CHICKEN BETTER !
There’s a reason why jerk burgers don’t exist in traditional Jamaican cuisine which has been around for hundreds of years. It was not a lack of ingenuity. Those herbs aromatics and spices need to cook in oil to remove harmful toxins in skin and seeds. When they’re in a patty they steam a little bit but don’t develop the proper flavors. It looks cool but Id stick to jerk chicken!
