Cats are chill, usually they can walk around the street freely because they're not that dangerous. However dogs, are not like that, they could run after you on the street if you're just walking next to them

i think the reason people dislike cats more than dogs is because they’re a misunderstanding on their intentions. cat research is actually around 10-15 years behind dog research, and when people have done studies, they’ve found they’re a lot more similar than people think. many people didn’t even know cats could learn tricks at the same level as dogs, or recognize their owner by face. cats are not malicious in nature, their boundaries are just often broken. it’s like when people harass a smaller dog and than call them aggressive when they’re defensive, when in reality it’s the exact same way a bigger dog would react, but because they’re not a threat, they patronize them and think it’s funny to get a reaction. cats can be overstimulated very easily, and many humans don’t seem to understand that. cats love being pet, but they give warning signs when they clearly aren’t enjoying it.
