I'm REALLY liking what I'm seeing from this game so far. It looks like they're giving you a lot of room for creativity for combos and that's one of my favorite things in a fighting games.
It definitely feels that way. This is my first KOF and everything feels so satisfying to pull off and combo routes seem very plentiful. I’m hoping this will be one of the fighting games where you can see one character have a couple different play styles.
You're going to enjoy the Tournament Scene for this game, especially if there are Chinese and Brazillian players on stage. Jumping CDs into crouching low, crouching low, standing jabs block pressures. Standing CD into special cancels. In Neutral. Enjoy Robert/King/Mai gameplay. Super Short Hops overheads that are safe on block. Kyo/Iori/Terry. Everyone can't stop running into standing light kicks. Everyone can't stop jumping into light kicks. Everyone can't beat light kicks. King/Kyo/Luong basic defense Enjoy not playing if you're a grappler, unless you build around your grappler always having bars for EX specials. Laugh your ass off as EVERYONE falls for basic crouching low, crouching low, delay., PRESS THE CROUCHING SWEEP BUTTON. It's been working since 1995.
To me that is a MUST for fighting games, static combos tend to tire me out mentally due to the monotomy which is why I was a huge fan of Guilty Gear X2 when I was young.
K' is easily the best KOF main protagonist. He is my most favourite fighting game hero alongside Liu Kang and Jin Kazama. But yea his gameplay in the early game was a bit clunky...but still cool
@@anzumazaki7798 not really. Maxima they just reworked he was fine before he’s just more focused and traditional now. K’ literally has never really changed. At most he got two additions to ein trigger. Don’t know what you’re smokin but it’s gotta be killing 300 brain cells a second.
That's on the game. Once one knows how KoF works, it's really easy to take most of the cast to training mode and figure out basic stuff on them with very little, very easy, experimentation. With some exceptions, like Angel, who just work by their own rules.
To this day Max is one of the most adaptable fighting game players I've ever seen. His ability to completely change up his playstyle and bnbs based on his opponents skill level and what they do is pretty amazing. "Be water, my friend."
Part of that is how KOF works, it’s kinda like how in Tekken skill can carry over to different games. Once you know the basics of KOF you can play almost any of the games and adapt pretty Quickly

Bro thank god I pre-ordered this game because this game looks sick as hell. This is gonna be the fighting game that I actually put tons of hours into since UNIST. The combo protential looks promising and fun to use cannot wait to play this game on Thursday.
Gotta love the begining phase of a brand new fighting game. Trying to figure out which characters your going to main, figuring out all the combos that they can do the grind of getting better week by week month by month ect i i remember when it was like that for fighterz and mk11 sadly i didnt connect with those games as much as i hoped.
Tbh for this game I find it's EXTREMELY harder to figure out what team(s) I want to main. With DBFZ, I already had favorite DBZ characters (Cooler, Adult Gohan, Videl, Janemba, SSJ Goku), so making teams there was easier. KoF15 is my first and everyone looks super dope. I had to watch character trailers and Rooflemonger's intro to the characters to make a list on who I wanna try.
I picked up a few older KOF games on Steam, but never put in more than a couple of hours and nothing really clicked. But for some reason this one really has me hyped up and totally ready to jump in.
Game looks and plays incredible! Man the release of an iconic franchise new title is just AMAZING! KOF rich history and amazing fanbase just made the whole fgc hyped! Its been a long time since I've seen ppl thos hyped for a fighting game and it shows they've done this so right! Even none kof fans got excited and bought the game, some even marathon the whole series 😂❤ miss the series and these amazing characters,welcome back KOF!
i'm so happy for Max he really enjoyed the KoF legacy ride. And i hope this KoF brings Max more joy and hype moments. but is sad too, because there will be no more silhouette legacy, because Rock is confirmed

My First KOF game, and it doesn’t disappoint! I’ve already invested over 5 or 6 hours into it. It’s already become one my favorite games, I can’t wait for the DLC characters! I give this game score of either and 8 or 9 out of ten. Along with a High recommendation for those who are looking to get into the series and or just trying to find a good game to play.

Well it's classic Kof playstyle I like watching and learning high level Kof movement though I like Kof for it's movement and core combo structure and the footsies that Kof has.
They should do community trial combos a la Mario Maker. You pull off a combo, upload it, then sit down and watch as the world tries to match your combo skills. It would be great for beginners too, so they can learn useful in-game combos.
This is looking real good, been a fan of KOF since playing '95 on the PlayStation demo CD back in '97. Looking forward to messing around on this on Thursday! Its just sitting in my Steam Library staring me down! I think I'm gonna finally make the jump to playing online with this one; I never play online. That's how hyped I am about playing this game.
It's nice to see Max warming up to K', he wasn't my first choice, but once I got to play K', I very quickly warmed up to him, so much so that he became one of my favorite and one of my best characters too, he seems to be very faithful to his previous iterations too, I see a lot of familiar shit from XIV, XIII, XI, 2003 and even 2002 UM.

Honestly KOF is truly a breath of fresh air after all these games lately that have been lacking flavor. I’d say this is the most free and open game since Rev 2 and Blazblue CF came out.
I’ve played a few rounds of 2002 and that’s really it so this game is my first true dive into the series and I love it who are some of people favourite characters to play as so far for me it’s Terry, Vanessa, Kyo

As a KOF fan since '94 release and other SNK games in general, seeing Maximillian Dood doing so natural combos in so little time made me feel both good for seeing how KOF XV is awesome for its 1-shot combos, and BAD at the same time, knowing that I will never be able to perform such combos no matter how much I try. Been a fan of KOF since I was 8 years old , played this game so much with my uncle and cousins. the characters were cool and had style to their moves. I’ll never forget playing the Game in Mexico and spending hella money at the carnivals lol
I'm new to KOF and started playing XV tonight. I'm finding it good so far, but just struggling to pull off some of the moves that require weird turns with the analog stick. I'm more use to MK which doesn't do that sort of thing. I'll keep at it though and do my best, as I've been wanting to expand to other fighting games. Always played Tekken since I was young, but not competitively.
This actually affects how I choose my characters on fighting games, and loving it. I'm not good in directional execution too so I've been picking slow characters with easier inputs.
@@Fusso It's just not something I'm use to in fighting games when you've got to make quick inputs. In MK it's just simple D pad button presses. I know it's silly, but that's why I'm going to keep practicing as it's only a small obstacle to get around. As I said, KOF isn't a fighting game I'm used to.
Super-hops/Hyperhops just need a down, tap jump (forward jump or back jump only), then down again (you can also just do down and then tap jump, but I found going back to down easier)
I'm hoping I can actually play this KOF the last one was tough for me I didn't quite understand the footsies or even how to do combos. Grown alot since then though so here's hoping.
Love playing this but only get time to play after work and can't enjoy it because I'm exhausted. Will probably get more chance to have fun with this on the weekend.

Seeing Max invest into K’ after bashing him during the NESTS saga is the greatest character development I’ve seen.
k' and maxima were very slow and clunky in '99 and '00 unfortunately, it took a few games for them to develop

Use the dpad to pull off certain moves easier, it does take some time to adjust to the dpad.

First thing I noticed was the Super Gem Fighter-like combos from pressing the punch button. I was like *Joey Lawrence voice* WHOA.

Im dying to get this game but im gonna be like 2 weeks late to the party its killing me.
I'm hesitant on buying this. Is it easy to get into? I've only played MKX and GGST as far as fighting games go and they weren't too hard. KOF looks like an interesting series of games
It has autocombos so you can use them while you adapt, give it a try, its really fun and has a good netcode

@@YenaD15 I was a fan and a very good player of SF until discovered KOF, the SNK games are very fun, never getting bored or tired.
Kof has some difficulty mainly in advanced combos and movement (high level particularly) but XV is easier in that regard so yeah it's not that hard
Let yrself immerse in the kof series !! This year edition looks really really good and prob one of the best edition to date
Not gonna lie I really wished you did a rate the supers first. Because Ralf’s climax super is a 10 out of 10 for me👌🏿
