Holy shitttt, this is why I love the geniusbrain podcast so much. I always always learn something new and this episode really highlighted a lot of things that my naive self would've never thought about. Thank you again for keeping it real and constantly dropping your knowledge & experience with us :).
I already listen to the audio version of this on my way to work. I love these stories and would love to hear more about the shit you guys had to deal with in terms of business partners and lessons you learned from them. I would say I've been pretty fortunate to not have run into the type of people the you guys had to deal with in a professional/job setting. So I would love to hear more. But it does remind me that the type of people that they cut out of their business life seems like the guys in high school that loved attention and would lie about stupid shit. But now they are in the work environment so they think they can use the same dumbass stories to try to get ahead in life.
I can relate to “being the bad person” in a group of enablers who end up mooching off of my honesty (saying the things they want to say, but they don’t want to stir the pot). And then they start expecting you to go up to bat for them for every little thing. Probably because my low tolerance for bad behavior + honesty enabled the bystanders’ passive behavior. It really shows other people’s loyalty in helping you out and valuing (lack of) honest environments. Everybody is all talk until they have to be the “bad person” in the room.
I’m subscribing, and actually recommending you to others. Not just because it’s interesting/ funny. But because you’re a good guy. Protecting / caring about others images. Which you don’t have to do. I hope your rewarded more for having these standards.

Just know that most that go into the adult entertainment industry usually have some deep underlying issues, be it past trauma, neglect, abuse etc. They wouldn’t be going into it if it weren’t for those things, at least not so easily or hastily. Throw in “easy” money and fame and you have a recipe for disaster. And if they don't have a consistently strong male figure in their lives (i.e. daddy issues), then it is easy pickings too. They might go into it with prior mental health issues already, or after being in the industry it worsens their mental well-being. So erratic behaviours wouldn’t be so unpredictable tbh.
Im such a fan of both davidso and jkfilms i honestly respect them because of where they came from and started from as comedians on RUclips to geniuses on owning businesses.

It's the unpredictability of crazy that unnerves us who know what danger feels like. I got unexpectedly robbed in Hong Kong in December and I'm still feeling off and I'm all the way back home in Canada now! I finally understand why security is such a huge industry.

I relate to joe so bad in this... being the bad guy. But having such a strong moral compass and standard for relationships of any kind. Wanting the best for each other and knowing that involves growth which means honesty and difficulty and risking awkward, difficult moments! It’s hard to be surrounded by people who prioritize comfort over all... hard when it’s normalized around us too.
Finishing this kind of late lol, but my best friend likes to troll terrible people like that. One time she accidentally got him to confess a felony he had. She was told him she knew about his arrest record. We all knew it was a bit except him. Other times she just finds what they're sensitive about and really humbles them with it if they try to challenge her. Sometimes she just does it just to troll them lol. If she knows they're lying, she'll just go, "oh, that's funny because..." For me, I just present their lie in front of them (with screenshots) and then I block them or cut them out of my life. It's also amazing when they try to lie, backtrack, or gaslight their way out. On an unrelated note, I am doing 90 Days to Freedom.
What a bad ass story for the business story. I’m starting mine up soon, and I’ve been reading books like good to great where they talk about the ego driving the loss, but you don’t read up on the horror stories like you guys provide here

Let me make it very clear that I'm not complaining when I See This. I enjoy it one day repeat some stories again that Dave said before not to mention with newcomers coming in. With that said, I'm Amazed by how well they'll say the story in the sense that they literally say it the exact same words they said last time in the exact same way in the exact same motor. It happened so frequently sometimes that I swear I'm getting Deja Vu and I'm just watching the same episode I watched before. Only to realize on my way just in a different voice with the same story again in the exact same order.
