He's in the zone in his bliss and joy of expression. It's fun when that happens you don't even think anyone else is around or would like it but doing it bc you simply enjoy it and that spreads out with the music and his frequency. What type of recording are you referring to? I have no musical or technical knowledge but since it has been recorded for RUclips purposes could he not use that to help him play it again?

Hey, many artists have them. Put out an SOS and don’t let them own you. Flat rate to record to sheet music also many recording studios, universities that are nice have them also. Probably because us old frts are loosing our vision ;)

But I also noticed On the Nature of Daylight references. So at the some point it felts like he was going all over the place and I couldn't identify a common theme. That's why I don't think I quite enjoyed it.

That was the technique smaller theater pianists used during the silent picture era, playing by mood. They never played exactly the same score twice. [The larger theaters might have permanent organist or pianist or string ensemble, who might play a studio arrangement which they rehearsed.]

I had thought that was a Chopin piece, but was thoroughly surprised to figure that it actually came from this guy.
I had a lot of classical training when I was younger, so maybe that's why.
