Girl Meets World I just posted the scene where we find out he is Tommy. I didn't feel like putting all the clips together. But I'm sure someone else will post them.
I think during filming, they kept her out until JB Gaylor's part was perfected, so that when Danielle FIschel was in the room, she would be genuinely surprised.
The episode of "Boy Meets World" where Eric tells Tommy he's not going to adopt him is arguably one of the saddest episodes in the series. The hardest part to watch without bawling is when Eric shuts the door after telling Tommy the news, and then he just breaks down sobbing while the social worker watches.
To me it seemed like girl meets world... didn't understand the point of that show. Every episode I caught that didn't connect back and wasn't about her girl!shawn seemed like the cast tried too hard to keep her from meeting the world.
Claty Rebel The reason GMW didn't feel like a spin-off is because it wasn't a spin-off not in the normal way to begin with it since it was more of a sequel /spin-off much like The Suite Life on Deck and Raven's Home.
same here I started crying alittle bit, I was so mad when they ended things between eric and tommy on boy meets world but then I saw this on tv and now its on of my favorite girl meets world clips
I think deep down Eric needed this. Giving Tommy up with the hardest thing he ever had to do and knowing that he turned out all right was exactly the closure he needed on that chapter. It was what he needed to reassure him that he did the right thing in not adopting him.
@@marioferrara8044 He was not in the right position to be a father at that point in his life. He was barely out of high school. Fans the show can tell you that he could barely manage himself. They just kept making Eric more goofy as the years went on.
@@Artisan1979Definitely! He barely could manage himself, didn’t have a stable job and didn’t have his own place (house/flat/annexe etc). There’s no way they would’ve placed Tommy with him sadly since he just wasn’t ready for such a big lifelong commitment.

What made me cry the most was how Eric couldn’t care less about where he was, who he was up against or anything. Cuz, seeing Tommy big, grown, and happy made those old feelings he had when Tommy was a child come flood back. And he did such a good job holding his tears in…

I like how Eric is downright dumb but is also very smart in his own unique way and George could always see that
Logan Welch u call him mr feeny not George
@@igraarale9049 no I call him George
I think Eric and Feeney were opposing sides of logic
Eric’s logic came from the heart
Feeney’s logic came from the brain
Depending on the direction Cory wanted to go he would get advice and the advice that seems to get to him or Topanga or Shawn seems like it originates from one of those two characters
This was the best moment from Girl Meets World. It was so rewarding. No matter how many times I see this video I get tears. Eric Matthews is the big brother, we all deserve.
I'M NOT CRYING....... MY EYES ARE JUST SWEATING
SOMEONES CUTTING ONIONS
And now I’m crying again after all these years... Never thought we’d hear from Tommy again 😭😭😭
*has a great heartfelt moment*
*interrupted for some comedic effect*
*continues with heartfelt moment as if nothing happened*
Other than the random interruption, it was a great scene
This scene still gets me Topanga's reaction was priceless
Ikr! I can’t wait to watch gmw after watching bmw for the first time(I’m almost done)
Eric is Mayor of St. Upidtown hahaha
😂😂😂
Im ashamed I just noticed that
St. Upidtown, Stupidtown, I can't unsee that.
@@noobmaster-nq6fk That's the joke.
@@darththeo i understand that was the joke. I'm just pointing out that I can't unsee it.
That was the biggest twist on the entire show. I couldn’t believe my eyes
Absolutely brilliant to bring Tommy back, and the original actor too. Closure to one of the most heartbreaking scenes ever on TV.
When I first saw this I teared up. Tommy didn't even have to introduce himself...I already knew 😞
This was probably one of my favorite moments on GMW. I could not believe they brought Tommy back. The Tommy arc in BMW was really sad so it was great to see him again and finally understand Eric's decision.
The connection these two had was UNMATCHED. I loved them. Eric was so young at that time he couldn’t have taken him and I’m sure he thought about him everyday. This made me cry so hard 😭😭
As soon as he said his full name, Topanga realized right away it was Tommy!
Did anyone else notice Topangas reaction when Tommy was introducing himself?😀😂
Ok I remember this episode I'm so glad Tommy returned his relationship with Eric was so great it was so hard for Eric to not adopt Tommy but he knew it was for the best to have Tommy with a family that could properly raise him
I remember watching this and going"OMG ITS TOMMY!" Just to see Eric hug him with such pride and joy seeing him again. I had something in my eye...
Watching this. He couldn’t finish without Eric recognizing him. I admit I felt the tears. I remember the episode Eric had to give him up. It was clear Eric did love Tommy but he knew this was the best thing. Even if it broke his heart.
The second he says Tommy, tears spring into my eyes, I can't help it
0:17 Topanga face is so cute!!! :)
This was one of my favorite scenes on GMW. It was done so well!
best scene in the whole show from the call back to the look on topanga's face when she realizes at the exact moment we do who TJ is
The look on topangas face when tommy introduces himself is.... well it brings tears to my face
So happy they got the real tommy back for this episode
I just watched this 3 times in a row, and unbelievably I had to stop during the third time because I can't keep crying at work.
This is seriously beautiful. I'm still tearing up as I write this. They pulled this off so well... I just, I wish the rest of the show was this good.
Boy Meets world was such an incredible show 🥹
That was a really sweet reunion it made me tear up Eric really did love Tommy and it was one of hardest decisions Eric ever had to make in his life to give him up cause Eric knew it would be better for Tommy to have 2 people that could provide for him
OMG I cried when I saw this last night
I cried a little when I saw this last night
Ah dude, his voice breaking when he said "Tommy?" breaks my heart, makes me wanna hold him 💔 😢
Maaaannn when he stepped down and said "look at you". Lord have mercy, my eyes. They're so watery.
I don't care how much I watch this part i always cry I love this part so much
He may be an idiot at times, but you can’t deny Eric has a big heart.
"The best thing Eric ever did for me was one of the hardest decisions he had to make...he gave me up..."
I just watched the BMW where Eric gave Tommy up. After, he was sitting on the couch, feeling depressed and Amy said “when he gets older he’ll realize what you’ve done for him.” Now coming back to watch this, ugh, it’s amazing the details the writers added in to GMW!
This was the most emotional and heartfelt reunion ever 😭😭💯
this made me tear up when we learn this was tommy
I love that they gave an end to this story in Girl Meets World.
when eric said "Tommy?" and he said hi i dead broke down lol it was like eric was just glad to see that his boy was good, someone he thought he would never see again
