I think the usual Sporlan catch-all and a Sporlan see-all is the combo of choice. Great video as per usual! Ice on top was well played, now maybe your clever eyes can spot a metal container to hold a supply of ice with a few holes drilled to direct the drainage around. I also like the idea of an ice-bag and no worries it won't hold water.
I had a 91 S-10 with a leaking compressor. Just fir the hell of it, i charged it with R-22. Cooled great, so great i had to cycle it off every few minutes or the evap would freeze. Pressure switch was designed for lower pressures so it wouldn't cycle on its own. Head pressure was way too high though. I drove it like that almost the whole summer, recharging it once a week until a hose blew. I didn't care because the compressor was already junk.
The ice specialer!!!! We had a tech yesterday. Grab ice from his ice chest. Bring it up to the roof to cool the compressor.. Desperate times called for desperate measures.
What up ! When u gonna start doing the hvac skits again 😂😂 Been watching your channel for 8 plus yrs bro I’m here in the Bay Area Just do hvac no refrigeration at all Love all your videos
add another exhaust fan where u cut those holes on the end , gotta help a little bit. Run a piece of duct from the exhaust side of the units to exhsuster. put it on a temp control so it only runs when area is over 80. i Wonder why there is Just holes can't u just get rid of all the wall / wood open it up. Maybe a Big Blower - Maybe Blow Cold air in & Push the heat out. or Mini split - set at 80 degrees.
A refrigeration tech's hands are calibrated better than any temperature instrument available.
It's always an interesting adventure with nor cal dave.
Nothing like a nice, well lit work area.
Yup, bag of ice on the top is how I’ve always done it , sometimes run the cfm as well to help draw air across it
Dude that machine room is old and wild, heck yeah 🤘
I had this same issue this summer. Thanks for the videos it’s a big help.

Hack and Moe must have designed the airflow in that room
That’s what I was thinking 😂
If your box is hot call norcal Dave!

Nor cal Dave with the Field piece fingers 😂
Install a swamp cooler on the front side of the rack . Temp control for the cooler.
id sell em a mini split for that compressor room
Compressors on those Astros are prone to leaks. Every GM truck that used the HR6 compressor actually.
You should add another exhaust fan dave. Great job 👍
Thanks!
Thanks 🙏🏻

Yo Dave! I wanna buy a couple of your stickers. Do you have a website or anywhere you sell them??
Get me your address. ( don’t post it here). I’ll send you a. Couple 🤘⚡️🤘
@@NorCal-refrigerationsent you an email. Do you still have a coffee donation thing? Can’t find the link
@@johnstrh1 yes in desperation or there is a thank you button under video.
Dave, I'm really missing the live streams man.
I’ll see if I can get some in. 🤘🤘
what's up with the lighting in that room ? goes from dark to bright 🤔
The dark is GoPro poor low light filming. The bright is iPhone better sensor for low light.
@@NorCal-refrigeration no wonder why go pro stock keeps plummeting...its $1.47 a share now...pathetic 🙄
@@kingofthecrease30 they've become all "GO" without and pro-show..
#DarkDave for the win!
You know what you've got to do now Dave..... Go crank Y & T- Don't be afraid of the dark. That was a jamming song! 😎👍
you need to get a decent lamp. get a LED milwaukee that fits your batteries.
It’s the GoPro it can not record in low light. The I phone dose.
he's keeping us in the dark and holding us down.... 🤣
