just so you know, as a coder I cannot type very very fast. the main job of a coder is not to write the script but to design it to make sense and be adjustable later. if the only thing we did was type, we would've been faster at typing.
we DO have auto complete tho, so thats something.
I would say what makes a(n exceptional) programmer different from others is the ability to navigate (GUI or otherwise) with keyboard better than most.
Which is... basically any professional job involving computer except require logical thinking and much more typing than most.

I tried with a few TTS voices and the British ones tended to say it correctly, while the American ones said it like Neuro

I can solve problems in calculus, algebra, geometry, etc. just fine. But I am kinda slow when adding and subtracting.

Me every time someone asks me math questions. Most already finish it themselves before i get to it.
I can completely relate to... during school I was like
- simple counting - am I stupid or something how everyone finished already and I'm still halfway
- whole exam - 2 groups done (my in both my way and additional written generously so everyone would understand), answers sent into rest of class, wait a few minutes cause I feel bad to exit this early and still turning in first while baffled where did their compute power go
though I guess it has to do with my low cache capacity or something... often when programming or solving anything I'm like: there's a problem to solve, I feel like thousands of solutions are going through my mind, one is selected as most acceptable but it its compressed into single incomprehensible thought so I have no idea what I just choose and then I'm following simple instructions that come to my mind one by one and I have no idea what I'm doing until its finished but I'm sure it makes sense... maybe that's what they call inspired by muse or maybe I'm already part of the swarm

Well makes sense to me. Coding is precision work, speed typing a code is a great way to make sure it crashes and malfunctions
Probably one of the smartest java devs I know who now works at Google has a 45 wpm typing speed. It's more about how do I write something I don't have to fix again rather then how do I solve this problem as fast as possible. Though there are compitions for speed, that's not the mindset of coders usually.

I mean, tbf, not all programmers type fast. Most of us are basically like Vedal, just copy pasting any codes that's relevant (or the most modifiable to the program in question) and just edit from there.

The slowest typers often have the most endurance in the long haul in any form of typing though. Because I type really fast it's easy for my fingers and hands to warm up too quickly.

I can get to 120 whenever i went monkey mode or when i am chatting, but the moment i need to type an assignment i can't even reach 45, because i went full paranoid.
He types smarter not faster, also he pretty much likely has to stop and triple or quadruple check everything
125 WPM makes you faster than 99.9% of typeracer players. So it's less about Vedal being too slow, and more about Camila and Mother being too fast.
you still have to consider the distribution in terms of chronically online people who wont really follow the distribution. also considering possible sampling errors (target demographic, "people" is very broad) theres probably outliers unaccounted for lool

Just to put this into perspective, 125 wpm is extremely fast. To qualify as a secretary, one has to hit around 70 wpm. So even if Vedal "only" achieved 100 or so he's still much faster than the average person and not objectively slow. Just goes to show what big nerds Camila and Mother are, lol.
On a side note, some scientists have actually argued that women have a slight advantage in speed typing due to two things:
a) Women are (on average, of course) generally better at fine manual movements due to differences in muscle structure (men have more strength, but women have more precision)
b) Back when keyboards were standardized (so in the late typewriter / early computer era, think 70s to early 80s), only secretaries typed regularly, and the vast majority of secretaries were women, so keyboards were standardized to fit the average female hand, not the average male hand. Since men have bigger average hands, normal keyboards are actually slightly too small for the average man's hand.
So, to sum it up, calling Vedal slow is actual sexist discrimination, lmao.
