Suppose it's true that people are trafficked and forced into drug dealing. What happens to them when they are in the system? They go into witness protection? They lead law enforcement to the ringleaders? Or they're just released back? They should be offered a deal that is useful to the public. If they are later found to have lied to get the deal, they get penalties for that on top of what they originally got out of.
If people in SF think criminals are victims, they should at least be doing something about the other problem they are supposedly victims of. Add to this the people who get out on insanity pleas but then nobody monitors that they stay medicated after release.

That SF supervisor is a joke. The dealers actively try to pseudo-befriend desperately lonely people on the street to buy from them, acting like they're helping. They're mindless scum who should just kill themselves if/when cartels pick them up to do their bidding.
The judges are jokes. 511 no-shows from people they let go?
The juries are jokes. I'm sure each dealer provided so much proof that they were being threatened. It is not a defense, otherwise they can all just say that. Everyone in prison could say that about their crimes. They broke the law by crossing into the country. Maybe they unsuspectingly got trafficked after crossing. But it doesn't matter. They actively hurt people, even kill people.
What a couple of cities we have here in SF and Oakland. Everyone in charge is bending over a barrel for those that would destroy civilization and do.

If there are illegals causing damage to society for their own interest, like drug dealers from honduras, the proper thing to do is arrest, prosecute, jail for YEARS, then deportation, not to give them the label "immigrants" and shield them from blame. When they were making their living, they were probably not thinking of their VICTIMS.
