OMGSH This is eerie! I grew up in that apartment! He died, or was found dead, in our bathroom. My parents had sold the apartment a year before, and moved to a smaller one Rue Du Petit-Musc, a couple of streets away. Our address was actually 17-19 Rue Beautreillis, as there is a number on each side of the door. My room was the farthest on the left, 3rd floor, the one above the big balconies. There was a factory in the courtyard, the owners, the Metetals, lived below us, where those big balconies are. I am SO familiar with that walk from Place de La Bastille (not "Pastille"!). My kids and I bought fruits and vegetables at that store at the corner, across from the handsome Lycée Charlemagne. My best friend lived nearby on Place Des Vosges, and we walked to our school on the Ile St Louis. Thanks for the memories! Hello from Nevada!
Why sad? The guy wouldve tried to pick up your girlfriend or wife right in front of you as he hid behind his paid bodyguard. Thats how he was. One big piece of shit punk. And the sad thing is...that your wife or girlfriend wouldve probably fell for him. 😂😂
My family will go there in a day or two. They're in Paris right now to watch my granddaughter play basketball for the French Olympic team! Semifinals tomorrow against Belgium. Woohoo! Go Gabby! So sad for Jim Morrison.
it changed often. it was a restaurant before, then became a coctail and whisky bar a few years ago.....notice that "vin des pyrénées" has been transformed to restaurant now. it was a wine shop before where jim bought his wine.
I'm going to Paris on Tuesday, I'm going to be at his graveside first thing Wednesday morning. What was the subway station that Alain went down as he looked to see Jim one last time?
I heard that but find it hard to believe.. I was the apartment last week .. impossible to access without keys need two sets one for the courtyard then another for the front door .. Pamela would have had to been in on it .. also at least two guys would have carried his corpse out of the club into a car someone would have noticed.. I believe he OD’d on Pam’s gear ..
There's a documentary called The Final Days of Jim Morrison on You Tube that pretty much proves that JM died of a heroin overdose. The scene of his death in the Paris apartment was staged, and his real cause of death successfully covered up by his rich friends who didn't want to lose their drug dealer. He was an alcoholic who dabbled in his girlfriend's heroin, with tragic results.
I understand your objection, in part. But Jim visited William Blake's home in England, supposedly. Guess I would counter with what is wrong walking in the footsteps of your patron saints?

As a Jim Morrison/ Doors fan I find this incredibly sad.

Don't remember the metro stop name but near of Place De La Pastille.
@@SKuu777 I found it, then did the walk to the apartment and got into the courtyard
Bastille or St Paul. Or Sully-Morland.
Jim Morrison died in a night club and his body was brought back to the apartment by some people. He didn't die in the apartment.
Please explain ...
@@zafarayub3831 he OD in the night club's restroom. There's a full documentary about it. I forgot the name of it but it talks about the whole thing.

Why don't you let Jim rest in peace? Are you sure that he would agre what you are doing?
