Is it safe to add to food or drinks?
I once was given a cacao oil that was clear in color and was absolutely amazing in smell. Not so sweet like the absolute but a bit soapy actually. Any idea what cacao oil that is?

question: if i have the absolute as a thick paste, how much do i need of that with how much alcohol in a 10ml bottle?
in other words, what is the absolute:alcohol ratio?
Hi there! It's hard to say without being able to see the absolute. But for ours that we offer, we extract the cocoa with ethanol and then further dilute it with 50% ethanol to make it less viscous. I would suggest adding less alcohol at first and slowly adding in more until you get a consistency you like. I hope that helps!
Is it safe to put in a diffuser/for it to be in the air and a dog to smell/a dog be in the same room?I want my room to smell like chocolate but my dog stays in my room sometimes so just wanna be sure its safe
Hi there Briar! I checked in with our staff aromatherapist and she says "while I'm not a dog expert, I would think diffuser use would be fine because dogs need to ingest chocolate for it to effect them." I would suggest checking with your veterinarian if you are concerned at all! And definitely don't let your dog ingest any of the essential oil, it will be very potent. I hope that helps! - Gracie

Hi there! As Christine explains in this video, our cacao absolute is extracted with ethanol and then diluted to 50% so that it is comparable in viscosity to our other essential oils. Can I use raw extra virgin coconut oil + drops of cocoa absolute to create a personal body perfume using just 2 ingredients?
Hi there! You can certainly make a roll on perfume with coconut oil and cocoa absolute! Regular coconut oil will create more of a solid perfume. You could also use fractionated coconut oil for a liquid perfume. This is what we use to make our roll-ons at Mountain Rose Herbs.
You'll also want to pay attention to the amount of cocoa absolute you are adding to your oil so that it is safe for your body. Here's a helpful guide for essential oil dilution rates: blog.mountainroseherbs.com/essential-oil-dilutions. I hope that helps!
