I really love the new build Ray. Kenny sure has a gift in making some tac drivers. Have a happy and safe trip. Thanks for all what you do on the channel. Have a good week sir.
@X-RING Glad to hear of your recovery from the heart attack Ray! If when your in Jordan and do a trip to the Monastery try to be there for one of the night walks...they're amazing! the 1km walk from the start to the Siq is lit by candles the entire route and so relaxing! Also in Cairo the Guardian Guest House is the best place to stay...rooms with a view, rooftop terrace and over the road from the Pyramids and Sphinx!!! Great trips to be had!!
Heart attacks are no fun! I've had 2 and have a heart full of stents now, just do what they tell you and you can probably etch out a lot more time for yourself. Will keep you in thoughts and prayers! Enjoy your travels, Ray!!
Glad your ok Ray! Im a heart attack survivor,95% block of my LAD,diet related too, I have a stent since,it took time but im like normal these days thank god. Trust me I understand the seriousness of your situation. Keep Your Spirits Up, It Helps the Most Brother🙏
Good to see you getting back around and you look to be feeling a lot better!! I had asked you about some suggestions when I was getting my build figured out. I went with an Impact action, Bartlein barrel, MDT ACC chassis, Vortex Razor 6-36, Cortina Tuner Brake, and Ckye-pod. Just added the stock weight and seems to balance well for me, but I don't know much yet. Just starting. Weighed it out to just about 19.4 pounds. I decided on 6 Creed. Just posted video last week of me assembling everything and tomorrow evening I'll release my first shots and zeroing video. I'm excited to get into learning PRS and documenting my progress as I go. Your stuff has been a great inspiration to me. Appreciate your help and I look forward to what else I can learn from you. Gotta build myself some PRS barricades to practice from and rearrange some of my range to make a practice stage. Lots to do and learn, but I'll get it down! Have a great trip, Ray!
Glad to hear you are ok and healing up. 🙏🏼 Really enjoy your channel and content. It has always been a favorite. The GT is an accurate little cartridge. I’m leaning towards a similar barrel for mine next, (Brux) large contour once I shoot out the current Bartlein MTU. Very easy round to dev a load for with varget burn rate powders. Freebore .120 chamber. It will shoot 105’s very well and also 115’s.
I'm glad you're still with us Ray!! It had to help that you've been taking care of yourself. (you get more respect from medical professionals that way) I hope your recovery goes without any issues, and you get to enjoy your family during your travels. I tell my boys I love them every time I speak with them because you never know if it'll be the last time. (even though it breaks the guy code)

I did better than i thought i was gonna do but still did horrible lol . I should of shot my 6ARC but i didnt oh well . Hopefully PNTC will be doing another one in the Fall and ill gun my 6ARC then . Awesome video and absolutely phenomenal build
Great rifle Ray , I’ve survived a heart attack in 2015 then a near death MVA in 2019 and now have Stage 3 Kidney Disease with major balance balance problems also so i now live every day like it could be my last and I almost left out a 8 hour back surgery in February 2022 and neck surgery C2 to C7 the day before Thanksgiving 2022

Beautiful rifle and love the build and the explanation of why all parts were chosen. PRS use specific I’m sure it’s wonderful. Purely overall accuracy relayed, you mentioned around 0.8-1MOA. Did it ever tighten up? For the $$ that seems pretty “average” when you can get an off the shelf $800 Savage 10FP (or whatever is their current similar model) that will shoot sub MOA. I have a circa 2004ish 10FP w/ Choate stock and 24” barrel that can do 20 shots in a 2” circle at 200 yards shooting factory ammo (308 FGMM). Of course that’s apples and oranges to something that works well at PRS with perfect balance, low recoil, smooth action, etc. but just surprised the underlying accuracy potential is not better.
Re rifle balance, most rifles are not balanced correctly, even though they look cool for pics. Add 1/2 pound of weight to the cheek rest and see what happens to the balance. Chances are, your cheek pressure is probably much higher than 1/2 lb during actual shooting. With a competition rifle, we want the rifle to be forward heavy, this helps with stability while using the bipod and also helps counteract any cheek pressure that we may be applying in our firing position. Brakes with top ports (like the APA Gen 3) can help counteract this also. Ideally, we want zero muzzle rise just a straight rearward recoil impulse. If you experience muzzle rise with these small 6mm cartridges, you need more forward weight because the rifle is unbalanced in the shooting position and/or under recoil.
So a folder has a number of advantages and only 1 disadvantage , the disadvantage is increased weight , the pros , are donot need to drop/remove cheek rest to clean , or remove bolt for RO , and decreased lenght for bag or car .
Glad to hear you’re okay, wish you a speedy recovery. Keep up the good work and awesome videos. I’m curious about something, I couldn’t help to notice that Chris shoots with his middle finger. For a new shooter getting into long range and PRS would you recommend getting into a production rifle like a DD delta 5 pro, tikka tac a1, or would you recommend a custom build? Thanks for all the great content and hope you continue to recover and get back to full health soon!
I'll throw a couple cents into this if you don't object. I bought the earlier version of the DD pro in 6mm. Ran great except the bolt at the beginning was a hanger. 100 yard bug holes up until around 2600 rounds. It has 3300 on it now and definitely walking at longer distances. The barrel has been good. The issue I had and have is they claimed in their ad to have replacement barrels, not so. Maybe they've changed this, I haven't been down that road lately. I would recommend doing a custom action with a replaceable barrel. The buy once, cry once is better swallowed when in this sport. One needs to ask themselves what intentions for use will be. If one is eyeing anything in the competition world, the custom will be by far the better choice. If however one is not truely sure, just find something for under 1k, go out and run a few club matches. If the bug bites, then invest. Try a season of your club matches, a decision afterwards will save you tons. It's not only the exspense of the setup, it requires much trigger time, marksmanship fundamentals, group settings under a clock, etc.. The best rifles out there can only be as accurate as the individual behind it. In this, patience builds wisdom, skill is sometimes inherent or learned. The later requires the patience. Take a few courses from folks in the sport. There can be many avenues of choice. Mine would be, learn to crawl before walking and running.... Good fortunes to whatever you may decide. There will be pitfalls as well as mountain tops, keep expectations in a conservative corner and have fun......

The slight angle actually aids in adjusting elevation with your squeeze bag. Playing around with a bullet bag rider currently

Why did you change from the atx chassis to this one?
The AT-X 700 chassis was a loaner from Chris while we were in Colorado.
Can the JP take AW mags?
Any weights in that MDT ACC Chassis?
Yes, every internal slot is filled.
Can I get the same build?
Do you like the JP chassis over the ATX?
No
The JP chassis was short lived on that setup. It ended up with an MPA chassis on it
Thank you for the quick response. I was trying to decide between those two and I bought the ATX.
