@@HarveyAnk Valid points; respect to you. I did not say or even imply that this was a ‘cover’ band. And thanks for the “Shred Racers” session clarification. As I wrote, I ‘liked’ and subscribed. Session players are great, versatile musicians, no doubt, male or female. One has to make use of the resources that are available. I have appreciated male and, unfortunately fewer (many singers), female musicians for many years. That said, maybe it’s my limited perspective, but there’s a lot of entertaining, aggressive (my preference), top-notch rock breaking out of Japan by all-women bands these days. It’s great to see their chemistry when they play together, all the instruments, kick some serious ass, doing it for themselves beginning-to-end, not just ‘novelties’ or ‘cute’ metal. Anyway … I heard the other day that “Rock did not die. It just moved to Japan”. I like that; I am interested. If you have some suggestions, send a list; I will listen. @@MrGoodgorilla Agree... Rock did not die and moved to Japan, to the homes of a big bunch of japanese ladies especially. That scene is moving very fast, and bands are born or die almost every week. My top 3 (still active or no more) are Mary's Blood (from which guitar Saki and vocalist Eye in that video were), Bridear, Fate Gear. But there are so many many more... I have an ever growing RUclips play-list of japanese all-ladies rock bands/projects, currently including 48 bands past and present... If you had watched Naon no Yaon the last 3 years you would have seen Keiko from the legendary band Show-Ya sing with joy with Mayu, and with not so much joy with other young singers. Did Mayu also force her ? Maybe you have more knowledge in music than Keiko too ? Tamu is a multi instrumentalist, a very talented one, Saki is known way beyond Japan's fronteers and Hazuki has almost catched up to her, yet you pretend those very talented musicians can't realize they have both a singer and a bassist that are just OK.. Mayu covered a multitude of bands, from Journey to X-Japan, System of a Down, Nickelback, Helloween etc..and she was successfull every time, with every video buzzing on internet, that's not the definition of an OK singer. Haraguchi, because yeah, that's how you write it, complicated isn't it ? I mean for small minds, is a good young bass player who again played many different genres out of her comfort zone, and did it brilliantly with a smile as a cherry on top. I can name a dozen overrated bass players that are way worse than her any time, and again you don't seem to get it, those ladies know the whole Japan music scene, if one of the band members was underperforming finding a good bass player wouldn't be an issue, and they weren't all friends before the band, there was just a few connections between them. So yeah, avoid inept comments, Hazuki better suited for KOIAI ?? KOIAI already has Li-sa-X and if the other guitar player was just OK that wouldn't make a big difference, it's pop music with guitars in it, and again Hazuki was acclaimed by her fans in concert just like the other band members, by a crowd of people. So multiple professionnal musicians, legion of fans actually love the band Nemophila just as it is, and then there's you, alone, saying Mayu and Hara are just OK, LOL.And me, I listened to metal since the first Iron Maiden , ACDC, Metallica, I listened to every sub genre, to many other music genres, for more than 20 years, and yeah I confirm this band is special , the WHOLE band, and Mayu is a hell of a singer, singing for her fans while being very pregnant, and Hara-chan is with Tamu the rythm backbone of the band and if she was to leave it would be to the detriment of the band's music, she's very precise, very groovy and yet very humble letting all the other members at the front. They're just probably too good for you to appreciate it, so go back to what you usually listen to, nobody will miss you.
