Honda has designed very well the frame of the bike in preparation for the engine guard mounting! You actually didn't have to touch the bolt that goes directly into the engine block, which is very nice and can avoid issues of incorect mounting, torquing, etc. Also they designed a bracket for the engine so the engine is not fixed directly to the frame but to this bracket. Same for the engine guard, it is fixed to another bracket and not directly to the frame. The crash bar itself has another bracket welded on it. So, given all this, in case of a crash these brackets provide enough opportunity for the impact energy to be absorbed without damaging the frame or the engine. On the lower side as well, the crash bar has a dedicated place to be fixed to the same part of the frame where the foot pegs are. This was the lower crash bar acts as a bolt on sub frame. This also makes the skid plate easier to design and fix in place. I think the more offroad biased bikes like Tenere and the Africa Twin come directly with a bolt on subframe from factory but, I think Honda designed a very good alternative for the Transalp!
At 1:02:08 of the video you can see that you have incorrectly assembled the lower attachment of the right crash bar. It must be positioned under the frame attachment and not above.
You are right, it's opposite down there. I wonder if it makes a huge difference... The thing it's that on the OFFICIAL rally pack video from Honda on the right it's OK same as in the OEM Install Instructions from Honda and on the left it's different on the Honda Install Instructions than in the official video from Honda. Hope it makes sense what I explained.
Since I have the rally pack installed this was very interesting, thanks! I'm curious about your opinion about the quick shifter. For me, sometimes works like a charm but sometimes not. Maybe I need more time to get used to it.
How much does the rally pack costs? I‘m also from Romania and in the market for a new adventure bike, and the Transalp is an option for the Vstrom 800.

Check out the left it's also above, this it's how it should be

Up shifting from 2800 rpm and for downshift from 4000 rpm works quite well. Aldo QS setting HARD.

The Rally Pack complete has 10 Kg, and the skidplate plus engine guard has minimum 8,5 Kg

You can order as a pack but also separately. It should be cheaper if bought as a pack.
