RAILWAY UNION STAGES MAHA BIKE RALLY, DEMANDS RETURN OF OLD PENSION SCHEME

The Railway Employer Union organized a Maha Bike Rally today at Dimapur Railway Station, with the primary goal of abolishing the National Pension Scheme (NPS) and reinstating the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). NPS, introduced in 2004, replaced OPS but lacks the family guarantee that the old scheme provided. The union expressed concerns over NPS, citing its 10% deduction and insufficient benefits. They are advocating for the return of OPS. The rally will begin at Dimapur Railway Station, pass through Lumding, Guwahati, and continue until Katihar. Bihar.
