Wow!! I remember that song for Stafford motor speedway. I went to just about every race starting in 1981, when I was 8 years old. My father was the assistant chief Stewart to Ed Yarington. Probably miss spelled that. Those were some awesome years at that track. I was there when Corky Cookman went into the turn 4 grandstands. Crazy night. Thank you for putting these videos up, such memories.
I went to this event it was my first sizzler I missed the old days of modifieds I'm 60 years old now I have seen virtually every form of racing on planet Earth and there is nothing more exciting than short track specifically half mile Wayland modified racing and I've seen it All I've seen the greatest of the greatest and the worst of the worst this was a total Joy I saw this in my junior year of high school
this is pure gold thank you so much for uploading. this was my dads first year in a modified i think . thats him against the fence in the consi. was hard just to make the show back then.
3:02 I'm surprised there's no snow still on the ground, following an historic blizzard that hit the Northeast only 2 months prior. Perhaps they're were still piles out in the parking lot. It was quite an experience at 11 years old.
