It’s funny to hear them talking about the two trucks that tagged the rear of the mini stock feature at the beginning. They were indeed testing things out. Later that year at the World Series about 10 of those mini trucks showed up and… impromptu extra division!

Good to see the lone wolf mighty mopar #10 Ralph Nason in 4th place. The good ole Mopars make a lot of horse power so if your car isn’t handling in the corners you know you can reply on the drag racing speed down the straight aways lol 🏁

We watched this one from the back fence. Not a ticket could be bought.

Wow! I remember that decade of racing at the road. Look at that horrible track condition. But the crowd was huge then. And Bud Hill just packed. Too bad the drivers didnt have the track that exists now! Those were good times watching the Dragon brothers, Robbie Crouch, Stubby with his cigar, and of course Dave Dion that famous Berlin City Ford number 29! Can still smell the VP Fuels through the pipes from then...

I was at that race, my first indy race, remember how hot it was, watched the race from behind the pits, and how sad it was a driver lost his life.

Holy cow, I was at this race! I was 8 years old, and it was my first time at the Glen even though I lived in the area. I can remember walking all the way from the front stretch grandstands for Cup practice/qualifying to the inner-loop to watch this race.

They say Sammy if he wins he will take all that money back home ,he will e lucky to get 17 thousand

Yes! This is exactly the kind of show that really embodies why the automobile is so special. I've seen clips of shows like this one, Speedvision's AutoWeek, and Hot Rod TV and loved them. I've been waiting for the day someone would upload a full episode of one of these shows; and I'm happy you provided.
