      Haha I don’t know either... I guess I found a good microclimate or some heat tolerant hybrids that can suffer better than most 🤣

    Your Miltoniopsis look great. Thank you very much for your clear and practical tips to grow Miltoniopsis. I was happy to know that you can grow yours outdoors during winter. I am growing a couple outdoors during the summer and I may try to leave them outside under my porch when winter comes. One of them is Herr Alexandre which I bought last year and for my great surprise it has two spikes, very poor spikes (one bud each) but for whom was not expecting anything out of it it came as pleasant surprise.The other one, would you beleive that I bought it withouit blooms almost 5 years ago and since then it never did anything, not died but never grew much and never bloomed!!! It has 3 older bulbs + the one it grew last year and it is growing a new one now. However the psb are very small, hopefully this new one will get bigger...

    Miltoniopsis are so beautiful, unfortunately they really struggle during our hot summers up here 🥲 I have to constantly keep mine in a separate room and it's not enough. I'm going to unfortunately have to give her away to a grower in a cooler environment. Unfortunate because I love the flowers. I will admire yours from here, especially your Galaxy one, what a cutie! Great care video.

    Great video..I have 3 Miltoniopsis and a Miltassia for about 3 months now so they are very new for me. The first one I bought was a mature NOID and it bloomed for me and I was hooked so I bought the rest a couple months ago. So far, they are loving the southeast exposure. I’m inland SoCal so I have them indoors. The heat is too brutal now. They all have new growths which started over the past month so I think I’m doing ok so far. With this video you’ve got me thinking I might put them outside for winter to give them the cold temps. Decisions decisions…thankfully I’ve got some time to ponder. Thanks for sharing your experience…it helps so much!

    • @AttainableGreen
      @AttainableGreen  3 года назад

      Yea indoors is definitely key in the summertime. I ran out of space indoors in winter so they got pushed outside when it cools down and they did well. Feel free to trial and experiment...that’s the beauty of these collabs...giving you more options on how to grow these plants 😁

    • @AttainableGreen
      @AttainableGreen  3 года назад

      Seriously, this summer’s heat has been brutal! I put them outside when the weather cools because I have to bring in all my tender plants and there’s just no space for them. Turns out they don’t mind cooler temps. Feel free to experiment and try stuff out...the beauty of these collabs is that it can give you more options and ideas on how to grow these orchids 😁

    Thanks for sharing your insight - totally agree with the reduction in flower size during summer.
    Species... I've been looking into those but they seem to be extremely hard to come by. Unless you import from South America.
    Really excited for the flashing project! Can't wait to see your results on that!

      Species can be hard to find, I lucked out since there’s a species nursery nearby and he happened to have them in stock. I hope the flasks work out...it’s a new and different aspect of orchid growing for me and I have so much to learn 😂

    Thanks so much for the very informativ video and your insight! My tap water is 350 ppm, may be I should try my tap water too ! Thinking of it, i should grow my miltoniopsis outside during summer and inside during winter, just Vice versa of what you do ;-)
