You should invest in small digital scale. You can get highly accurate, up to 0.01g accuracy that weigh up to 500g (about 1lb). When you weigh everything this way, rather than measuring out by volume, you can become much more consistent, even with very small batches. >

Yes, all acid dye will definitely work on silk ribbon - as long it is actual silk and not "silky" synthetic.
