Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 28 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. I make a lot of decorating, painting and general art videos here. I'm obsessed with editing and adding lil bits to my videos, so if that's not your thing....oof you may hate this haha. I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and other random things I pick up. I also love to draw, but don't expect anything too skilled, I'm not the best at that haha. You will also find occasional crafting/testing crafting kits on my channel which are always a hot mess. And even some baking (REALLY bad at that, but it's fun to try).

i was not expecting moriah to say bill was ugly. i immediately loved him. i feel like if you create a backstory it feels like less of a “cram of ideas” like maybe he’s a regular blob called cow blob that always dreamed of being a flob? maybe he glued petals to himself to try and fit in with the flobs!

I love this that’s such a cute story.
It's cuter if you imagine it as the hat that employees have to wear at a themed amusement park, and the little cow print creature is the park mascot, and you imagine like roller coasters and Ferris wheels in the color palette. 🥺
Bill is so innocent and cute! And I really appreciate how you show all your failures and mistakes (even though they are all so good). A lot of other art channels make it seem like everything is perfect but you show yours and it makes me and probably a lot of other people feel good about ourselves. :)
Definitely agree as an artist myself! More than often, the process is just not totally perfect or smooth. It's all trial and error until you reach satisfaction. That's why I also appreciate her videos! She's honest, showing every part of the process including the chaotic-ness of it, if that's a word.

If this were a white hat, you would love it Moriah!!! It is definitely the orange throwing the balance off. The fact that you would not really have to change anything to make the background white... how about you make this into a "fixing old art" piece so you can love it as much as everybody else? Use a lilac purple, white, or turquoise hat so the underside of the hat will match and then do the same design with a slight update so Bill can be a flob you truly love!!! ❤❤

I’ve always noticed how critical Moriah is of her own work and she always starts off hating everything she does. It’s actually only recently that she has started loving most that she creates and that makes me so proud of her. She’s come a long way from the harsh judgment of her own work to finally accepting what she has made as something to be admired.
… which brings me to Bill. I love Bill. I love the hat! So, it’s frustrating to see how something so cool to an unbiased audience to us isn’t that obvious to the artist herself!
Moriah! I hope you “fix” the hat and also learn to love Bill because Bill is one of the most beautiful flobs you’ve created into existence and we need to see more of lovely Bill! And I adored the unique colour of the hat and also the apt colour scheme you’d chosen for it. I, for one, LOVE the hat. You could always fill in that panel with the black colour-bleed with black as a base colour for Bill.

First of all, Bill is cute!!
Second, I really appreciate that you share your art here, even if you end up not liking it. It shows that you are real, not one of those fake perfect social media influencers. It also makes us lesser talented people feel good about our own art and remember that we don’t have to be perfect all the time either.
You are by no means lesser though. You may feel like your skills lack but you’ve had drastically different circumstances and opportunities and I think you are amazing!
Bill does deserve more recognition, but Moriah doesn't HAAAAVE to like him. It's her own opinion, her own artwork, and she can think what she likes or dislike what she dislikes. Again, Bill deserves more recogintion--he is adorable--but we also shouldn't scream at Moriah to think what we think. 🙂
I actually like seeing moriah challenge herself and do something a little different. Artists are their own worst critics so I understand why she hates it but as a viewer, I'd probably be more bored/dissatisfied if she played it safe with just a desert hat + an old character she's done a bunch of times already. I like this hat! :') there, I said it.

I'm sorry you didn't like how the hat turned out Moriah, but I absolutely love it. It's close to the cyan-yellow-magenta primary colors, and those colors are very satisfying to me. Bill is also pretty cute. I've been getting interested in fluffy, cute, baby cows. Maybe you can explore these more in the future to make something you like?

Let’s be honest, I was expecting Moriah to turn the hat into Georgy 😂 The colorful cow print would have probably turned out better if each section stuck to 2 colors instead of 3, but it was so fun to watch! It made me feel a bit validated as I felt the whole “everything is ugly, why did I keep trying to make it better”

Honestly it's not that bad- the color palette look pretty cool and the composition of the design is really nice and interesting. Something about the way it's painted is actually kind of satisfying in a weird way. Plus it did end up being very different from the usual stuff which is a nice change of pace.

i think this is such a prime example of how artists are more harsh about their work than anyone else could be. Hundreds of positive comments, things about the hat ppl liked, everyone LOVES bill, on a project that you seem entirely disappointed by 😅 is it perfect or the coolest thing you’ve ever made? certainly not, you’ve made a ton of awesome work!! but its not without its own merits and positive aspects. I for one really like the color combo, and bill IS cute! i think if you’d just focused more on the cow print idea it would have come out much better, but thats just me!

This is the sort of thing that I would be tremendously confused and delighted by if I stumbled across it in a thrift store. And I would absolutely buy it. Would I wear it? Probably not, but it gives 90s vibes, so maybe if I was going to dress in that style for Halloween or something. Also Bill is adorable.

One of my favorite things about Moriah is that she shows us things she doesn't like as well as her accomplishments. Most youtubers/artists only show you their perfect art. I like that Moriah is human and makes mistakes like us. I personally think this is much more inspirational than only showing perfect art 💕💕

I actually think the design is pretty cute, a lot better than I would've done. When I first saw the hat though, I thought you could make a Georgie hat using the hat bill as his beak, so maybe just an idea if you have to live through the torture of customizing a hat again? 😅

I literally love everything about this hat lmao. It's honestly so cute.
The only "bad" thing is the bleeding of the black but there's no way you could've known that would happen. And if she really wanted to she could probably fix the bleeding by adding a background color the clean up the edges of the black.
But even with the bleeding, I would absolutely wear this hat and love it 😂

I love this, I feel like using an unusual color scheme really pushed something new into Moriah's style. it's not perfect but there's something fun and different here I think.
I will be forever grateful to Moriah. When I switched schools a few years ago, I only became friends with this girl because I noticed that she had some of moriahs merch. That girl was one of my closest friends. When I switched schools again, I made another close friend because they also had merch. Moriah is one of the only reasons I have a social life
