Do you ever get worried about bears or wildlife. I lived in Alberta for s few years and was always cautions when in the wild. Now im in a part of Europe where there are hardly any wild animals and must say it's quite nice not to worry about.
I have over the years had a few bear encounters, i grizz was only 50 feet away, it scared the hell out of the person with me but it took off up a steep hill. i have walked past a black bear at around the same distance, it looked at me and carried on eating dandelions. 2 encounters with cougars, one on a small Cliff that just watched me and one i had to scare out of a tree, and the only thing I have ever been chased by was a moose, and I can tell you i wont go anywhere near a moose again. i stumbled across one in the forest and he was not happy that i was there, but in over 25 years in the mountains that is all i have had, i see them lots hear them lots but they cant wait to get away from people thats for sure.
