Supposedly got hit with 16 elbows full force and no cuts.

He was charging his head in and basically keeping to Floyd's face.
You even see him going back then charging his head towards Floyd again.
Basically, if Floyd wanted to set his head back or if he did, he would've slammed into Ortiz's head to get back to his center line.
And I actually just watched that fight, he didn't hit him with no sixteen elbows. No fucking way.

The funny thing is that many boxing trainers train guys to throw the hook that way. Freddie Roach even has an instructional video here on RUclips, produced by Title, in which he basically says, "You know you're throwing a good hook if the punch misses & the elbow lands."

Victor's story changes with every interview so in my opinion his integrity is suspect and it would be better served to avoid conversations or interviews about what actually happened in that fight and do something now! I think Victor has an incredible upside if he focuses on Boxing and surrounds himself with a "Team" that will not just protect him from future media pitfalls but groom him to handle them like a Pro! Victor can be a dominant fighter for the next 5 - 10 years but he needs help!

I thought Ortiz was smacking Mayweather around. I watched the fight, and Mayweather threw at least 32 elbows, landing 16. He had a 50% accuracy rating on elbows thrown.
Making it sound like the headbutt was premeditated which was even worse. I cant imagine any trainer/boxing corner risk their boxer being disqualified or docked point by suggesting them to headbutt their opponent. Ortiz headbutted due to sheer frustration. End of.

Its Victors fault for not evading the elbows, the point of a hook is that if the punch misses, the elbow comes for a block and may hit opponent.
Provide evidence of elbow hitting.

You can watch all his fights & see how he forearms & elbows people... especially against pressure fighters who try to put him against the ropes or get in his face. I guarantee Ortis isn't the only one who's ever made the comment tho.
I don't expect Floyd fanboys to ever admit anything negative about him, but he definitely tries to create space with his elbows in fights & pushes off with his forearm.
But at the end of the day he made himself such a cash cow to boxing that the refs pretty much let him get away with whatever, like in this Ortiz fight,, but you can't really knock him for it cuz he makes it work.
And up until Marcos Maidana 1, it was an effective tactic for keeping people off him & getting the win. But Maidana just walked thru all those elbows & forearms & punished him all night. I'm sure as a boxing fan you can appreciate the beating that Maidana put on him that night.

Victor is a good fighter, but like many of Mayweather's opponents, he was frustrated by the defense. His allegation about being elbowed 16 times before the third round is false. I saw the fight. The referee's 'let's go' was effectively them being timed back in. If he did not hear it, that's different, but his frustration caused him to get careless and not protect himself. Mayweather knocked him down and the referee counted him out. Head butts are a no-no. Three times takes the cake.
And also he keeps changing the story, if you watch the footage he didn't say anything to the ref he just looked away

I said it when I saw it happen and I'll say it again, Mayweather's "KO" over Ortiz was not a cheap shot and I guarantee that if boxing fans like myself didn't want to see Mayweather lose so bad they would consider the Ortiz's foul that brought on Mayweather" reaction. I mean I like Ortiz, think he's a good fighter but frustration due to not being able to hit Floyd got the best of him. He literately came off the ground when he tried to head but Mayweather then afterwards tried to settle down and probably genially felt bad and wished he could have taken it back resulting in him overly express to Floyd how sorry he was and with that Floyd was ready to get the fight back started and also cause we all know how competitive Floyd is. He probably was in a hurry to get even as well so after the hug and all that, he was ready to go. I don't think any fighter that just had a guy leap off the ground to head butt him would want to hug their opponent and for a few rounds they would actually probably be a lil weary of the head-but when in clinches and what not.
