Saw John wick 4 and i can honestly say, easily my fav action movie in a long long time. On top of that, it looks GORGEOUS too. Every scene, every frame is bursting with colour and pop. I will say, Donnie yen stole the show for me ❤
Yeah, it’s probably the best action film since RAID 2 in my book. I’m seeing it again tomorrow! Agreed about Caine and can’t wait to see more of him.
Have you seen any of these movies? Let me know what you thought!
Yo 🙌
Try Watching 'Kantara'
@@smooshbooyah5430 It's on my Indian Cinema Watchlist: letterboxd.com/thejslewis/list/indian-cinema-watchlist/
John Wick 4 was great
I was never hyped for Dungeons and Dragons tho
Has the positive buzz swayed you at all on D&D?
Tori and Lokita looks reminiscent of Dheepan, which I loved. I’ll have to check that one out for sure, and damn if I’m not fascinated by anything that appeals to fans of The Lighthouse. Thanks for introducing some new ones that would’ve likely been otherwise overlooked. As for April, I’m all in for Beau is Afraid.
My pleasure, Brando! Let me know if/when you see those. And yeah, April belongs to Ari Aster.
Rhys Men gives me lighthouse vibe from the trailer! Can’t wait to see it
Excited for you to check it out :)
Rye Lane is indeed excellent.
One of the best I saw at Sundance this year. Not a wasted second.
Dungeons and Dragons was so so good. I very much recommend it. I am a nerd myself who has only played dnd a handful of times, and one of my friends has been playing dnd basically since birth, we both equally loved this movie. One of the best fantasy realm movies ive seen in a while.
Hey Lewis, where exactly is the "I Got This!" clip (from at the end of each video) from?
Good question. The answer may surprise you: ruclips.net/video/PI82pNmQod/видео.html
@@cineflect the link says video is unavailable?
John Wick was great. Definitely a step up from the last convoluted film and maybe the best this series has to offer?
I saw Tori and Lokita twice last year, and I'll definitely be watching again. Classic Dardennes shit!
Creed 3 is pretty good, even if I find myself thinking about it less and less with each passing day.
The Worst Ones is a pretty interesting take on the ethics of filming with child actors.
Rye Lane was extremely grating to me. Underdeveloped and yet it felt endless with the constant "Look at how much personality I have!" directing.
After finally marathoning all the Scream films this past week, the new one was a huge disappointment for me. The NY setting did little-to-nothing for the story, the stakes were the most artificial they've ever been, and the climax just felt like a worse version of Scream 2. And also, WHY THE ROMAN NUMERAL??? They had a format going with these titles and the Radio Silence guys fucked it all up! Kinda sad that that's my biggest takeaway from this movie tho...
I haven't seen Scream 2-4 in years. I'll probably marathon the whole series before Scream 7 (VII?) rolls out. I agree about the naming convention, ha!
The Worst Ones sounds fascinating.
I have to know…which film is that great gif of a psychotic looking Willem Dafoe from?
WHO ist that on the thumbnail?
Rina Sawayama! She’s awesome in JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4.
I also love her music.
10. Nope
9. Might not be bad.
8. Nope
7. Absolutely yes.
6. Nope
5. Nope
4. Slight maybe
3. Nope
2. Curious
1. Definitely will never see this.
Haha, I love this format. While not everything on my lists is for everyone, I strive to have at least something for everyone :D
I’m curious, why no JOHN WICK???
@@cineflect I'm not a fan of action/shooter movies. Or Keanu. He's been overrated for a long time. Wick is just a non-costumed comic book movie. Great job on the list! Not all movies are for everyone.
@Cineflect My "absolutely yes" to the Quentin one says where I'm at with movies. Love that guy.
@@sjelliott6660 Thanks for explaining your stance.
thoughts on Inside?
Believe it or not, the guy with the Willem Dafoe pfp hasn’t seen you 😔 Have you?
@@cineflect I saw it in theaters and thought it was pretty good but I can understand why it can easily be disliked. a lot of very slow, indulgent, sometimes boring scenes that seem pointless. It has a lot of underlying themes and room for theorization which I didn't expect going in, and thus most of the vague messages were lost on me until I thought about it more. Would recommend to anyone who likes to scrutinize weird and ambiguous movies
How is the Creed movies in a downward trajectory?
Creed > Creed 2 > Creed 3, imho
