  • This set of video resources introduce you to how the Polyvagal theory, developed by Stephen Porges and Deb Dana can support our well-being. Their work opens up a new way of viewing our nervous system, allowing for new ways of working, giving us hope and possibility. Our wellbeing is dependent on a functional and adaptive nervous system, which has as much to do with our body as our mind.
The videos have been produced by Ed Sipler, Health Development Specialist at South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland and they accompany a self help booklet and worksheets he has developed for adults.
ASCERT works in partnership with SEHSCT to develop and promote resources that support mental health and wellbeing.
ASCERT work in Northern Ireland addressing alcohol, drugs & other substance related issues, ensuring young people, families & individuals are supported to deal with the challenges of addiction. We provide effective prevention, intervention, & support services, reducing harm & supporting positive change.
