HOLY SHIT I came to check out the drumming as it's one of my favorite drum songs, I was honestly extremely shocked by how incredible he nailed that guitar solo at the end, fucking insane, absolutely incredible performance all around

Why do y’all think he’s a bad singer? No he’s not. His voice is great. I wanna see you try perform Holy Wars. Go ahead if you’re so smart.
Mustaine outdid himself when he created this album. It's fantastic and this song is one of the many songs that prove it. Whether it's about Northern Ireland, conflict in the Middle East, or both, I'm not sure...but the lyrics illustrate the ages old problem of fanatacism, war, and hatred among various peoples. The song is really two songs in one. The Middle Eastern type solo that divides the song into two bridges the hard-hitting introduction with the second song/next part of the song. This track slows down after the dividing solo. After a second solo, the slow part of the song persists. A third solo precedes the scratchy harmonics and a new, faster part of the song and a final extended solo - and the song still isn't over! It repeats an earlier guitar riff from the first minute leading into a somewhat abrupt ending. What a start to a tremendous, influential heavy metal album that has withstood the test of time. It will always rock
This song really made my buttocks quiver like jelly the first time I heard it, very few songs have that effect on me. Aggressive, powerful guitars, vocals that suit the music!
All I can say is damn!! Every song I listened to from the Palladium was awesome! Great sound, audio and vocals. Megadeth have always been known to be "on point" musicians. In 1990 when I landed a 6 month stay in a California state mental hospital, I heard this song on my radio cassette walkman that my father had sent me, and it was this killer song that hooked me into MEGADETH. I got my father to send me the cassette tape of "Rust In Peace". Great therapy. (ha)
Metallica is almost near persistent with staying together, unlike Megadeth with numerous members. But Megadeth is almost persitent with staying within the thrash metal genre, unlike Metallica. But I love both bands no matter their faults.
