There's a woman that stands by the water at West Lake Axewell who gives you a wishing piece for 100W. That'll save you some time. She's not always there but its worth a try first. Change the date and she'll appear.
@@turbomoist7143 It does become a bit broken at times. To fix this issue, I put everything back to normal so that the time and date are updated automatically and shown correctly then I restarted the game and then tried the trick again. This worked for me whenever it seems broken.

Hey man, thank you so much for uploading this. It was a real life saver for me and especially my 6 year old son. He has very limited game time due to hes age and he was absolutely thrilled when he beat the game and got hes favourite pokemon Charmander. Today he accidently released that fucking fire lizard and was completely devastated. It's hard when he can't understand english (we live in Sweden) so its an accomplishment by itself that he has navigated himself through the game all of hes own with close to zero fuck ups. Anyways, he cried himself to sleep a few hours ago, there was just nothing I could say to comfort him lol. Anyways, I started googling and ended up here. 92k fucking watts (!!!) later I found that little shit pyromaniac! Like seriously that must have been some major crap luck. Anyways tomorrow I will be the hero dad who brought back my sons little buddy from the wild haha. Huge thanks for uploading this, or else I would have been forced into an all nighter trying to complete the game (again) before dawn.

Cant you do something with the pokemon nussurry and get charmander copied into an egg ?? So he could have back ups ? Or like the old games breed a pokemon with a ditto to make another are any of those ways possible so he dosnt lose him again for good? And can have back ups??
I did this today and managed to gain a charmelion on my first try but can't wait to upgrade it to a charizard. Do you know what lvl charmealion has to be to evolve into charizard?

I didn’t know it was so difficult to get a Charmander aside from Leon. I got a Charmander the first time I played at a den in Rolling Hills. I was flabbergasted.
Still works 4/1/24 on first play-through. Took about 10min of quickly quitting game before I got the purple beam, and then only a few tries of changing time to change the Pokemon to Charmander I was too slow on the first attempt to quick the game and change the beam from red to purple and wasted a wishing star. Have your thumb ready and spam home button

I got my charmander randomly I just saw it in the dynamax thing when i was first going through, same level as all my other pokemon, so naturally i kept him on my team, and he was a very viable pokemon throughout the championship
This still works as of 6/2022. Just a few things I would add: 1. There is a NPC off to the right after you first leave the station that will offer you a rare item for 100 W without knowing what it was. I received the Wishing piece from him so I did not have to grind the 3000 W. I don't know if the item is always the same. 2. If you change your time on you system backwards from the date you ended up getting the Charmander the spawn it will revert to the older save and you will lose it and have to start the process again.
I had 4 wishing pieces, tried it. First purple was a 2 star Ninetales. Decided I can catch that and just do it again. Caught it then did the process again and got Charmander..... I’ve never been this lucky in my entire life. Thank you!

Still works December 26, 2022 After around 4-5 restarts and 1 date change I was able to get Charmeleon and as rewards, Flamethrower and Heat Crash. (And other additional rewards) Thank you very much for making this video 🙏🏻 Edit: Charmeleon evolved to Charizard upon reaching Level 37 (Level 35 when I got it). Also learned the moved Air Slash when it evolved
Its works on emulators as well!! Follow his same steps except when you hit invite others you can't, because your not on switch. So just change your date one day ahead in settings and hit quit and keep on interacting with the den till you get charmander
I have to say I was almost going to lose hope already. Been resetting for a while to get purple. Took me more than 30 resets. Still works January 2022 for those wondering. Got chameleon on my 4th pokemon reset! Thanks!
Honestly this makes the grass and water starters better. Frankly I think it makes grass the best. Gyarados is relatively easy to get, specially if you farm some candy or xp boost early on from dynamax dens to get magikarp to level 20. That gives you some pretty powerful early starters that all scale pretty dam well.

how does this work into the Nuzlocke rule set? This seems like manipulating for a specific pokemon, which doesn't sound like an allowed thing in a nuzlocke.

You have to defeat the Pokémon on the pink beam and start over by getting a medallion and going back and try for the purple beam again, same thing happened to me till I eventually got charmeleon 🤙🏽

Is not working as of 16/10/21. The back out for the purple beam worked, but changing the date for the Charmander didn't work for me. Thought it might be because I was connected to the internet so I disconnected from the internet and still won't work.

Took maybe an hour+ and about 50 attempts to get the purple beam and then 6 attempts to get it to change to Charmander. That’s on Shield and August 14th. Great step by step guide.
This worked for me after changing the date to around the same date he used in the video (12/23/2020 1:10pm). No matter how many times I restarted the game, I couldn’t get a purple beam before. As soon as I changed the date, the beam became purple. (The area the den is in was snowing until I changed the date so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it.) And I also went thru everyday of June and could not get charmander to appear, but as soon as I changed it to around 12/23/2020 1:10pm, charmander popped up after a couple of restarts.

I have done this about 15 times before I got a purple beam. I have now done the time skip trick about 25 times now and still NO DAMN CHARMANDER! This is the most work I have done for a pokemon in this game. I'll update if I ever get it, but all I seem to get are litwick, Sizzlipede, and some other type I dont know what. UPDATE: After 43 attempts I finally got one. I don't much care for it's ability, but its better than nothing.

Just did this. Still works as of 2/17/23! It took me like 30 minutes to get purple & then another 20 minutes to get charmander. Thank you!
Can you help: i got a pink beam and it saved before I could press home button. Now I’m stuck with a pink beam. pls help.
You have to defeat the Pokémon on the pink beam and start over by getting a medallion and going back and try for the purple beam again, same thing happened to me till I eventually got charmeleon 🤙🏽

this trick still works January 2021 dont worry if you dont get the purple beam it took me 20 tries and for the pokemon 27 tries it does take a long time you just need patient

Is not working as of 16/10/21. The back out for the purple beam worked, but changing the date for the Charmander didn't work for me. Thought it might be because I was connected to the internet so I disconnected from the internet and still won't work.

Took maybe an hour+ and about 50 attempts to get the purple beam and then 6 attempts to get it to change to Charmander. That’s on Shield and August 14th. Great step by step guide.
I just did it rn and got it on my second attempt and it was charmeleon
This worked for me after changing the date to around the same date he used in the video (12/23/2020 1:10pm). No matter how many times I restarted the game, I couldn’t get a purple beam before. As soon as I changed the date, the beam became purple. (The area the den is in was snowing until I changed the date so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it.) And I also went thru everyday of June and could not get charmander to appear, but as soon as I changed it to around 12/23/2020 1:10pm, charmander popped up after a couple of restarts.
Is that what I gotta do ?

No idea, what I'm doing wrong. Following all the instructions. And no dragon? I wait till I get the beam of light. Press save, then jump out, turn the game off then back, same beam of light? I have to fight the monster to get rid of the beam of light, which doesn't change colour, and start all over again?
Can I change my time back to normal after I catch charmander

I have done this about 15 times before I got a purple beam. I have now done the time skip trick about 25 times now and still NO DAMN CHARMANDER! This is the most work I have done for a pokemon in this game. I'll update if I ever get it, but all I seem to get are litwick, Sizzlipede, and some other type I dont know what. UPDATE: After 43 attempts I finally got one. I don't much care for it's ability, but its better than nothing.
