I am over the moon that you had help today. The fact that he's a US vet makes me extremely proud. And do I understand he's on vacation? Wow. What a man. Hugs to both of you. Leigh
@@terencejay8845 I've certainly observed a 'can do' attitude by many, many vets and it is part of what makes them (possibly you, Terance Jay?) So special. I'm in Texas. Where are you? Leigh
Shout out to Marlon!!!! You are a star helping James out. My brother in law is a Coast Guard Veteran. Represent! 🤩. So glad you accepted the offer James. 😊🤗 Kathy
Wheelbarrow - genius! And what a ⭐️ Marlon is. He deserves a medal volunteering to do that horrible job. Great to see you hit your deadline today - congratulations! Well done for keeping those gloves in today. Hope the finger is a lot better. If the girls are helping tomorrow then make sure their hair is tied up tightly, and perhaps cover it with a hat or cloth if you can. Good luck with the blacking 😊
You are so lucky to have viewers like Marlon! Thank goodness you’re getting this task completed! Hopefully you can walk when this part is finished, lol 😂 If I lived in England I’d babysit for you.
It was fun to see the two of you working towards each other with the VacTan--like the stories of tunnel diggers meeting in the middle! Yay for Marlon--and you, too!
Wow, Marlon was like an Angel sent to help you! What a great guy, doing that work while on vacation! :) Also, excited to be added to the wall... Glad I could help a little bit on the project.
Never seen a wheelbarrow as a tool when painting before. Kind of an invention. Congratulation! Really like these videos. You (and your 3rd and 4th hand) are doing a great job!
Marlon you absolute legend, on the previous post, bless you james you looked beaten from grinding the hull. Having Marlon there is like winning lottery, especially as you now have to go back in the water on Monday. I hope you both had a beer to reward getting so much done 🤗🤗
Great that you had help at the eleventh hour. Suggest you paint support marker stripe positions on side of topsides so next time you can fit the support trestles clear of the unscaled areas.
Glad I heard about Vactan through this series. I've used Kurust in the past on smaller projects. Vactan seems to be exactly the same thing at a fraction of the price!
When are you going to have the new anodes put on? Seems like you might run out of time on the hardstand but I'm hoping you manage to get it all done in time. Lucky Marlon was able to give you a much needed hand.😊 😊
Well done Marlon ❤ and James 😎. Looks like a plan is coming together. Just the two small strips where the boat sits on the stand. Rub down then blacking in mid lift. I believe that goes off under water.
Wow well done to u both. Such a pace too. Pls just make sure the blacking had its drying time or I believe it can come off. Absolutely amazing rate of progress. Well done
James you’re an inspiration to everyone to get off their duff and get them jobs done, after watching you work ‘relentlessly’ I have now tackled several house projects that I have been putting off for a while, well done. One question what happens to the hull under the supports?
What ! , You stopped for lunch , you've worked in a shirt and tie for to long . Roller in one hand sandwich in the other , Bosh job done . Keep up the good work .
That's being innovative, using that wheelbarrow... Genius (shame you didn't think of it sooner) ;-) It's also a shame there's no stands that safely support the boat and give access to the entire hull? There's a time to talk (tea, lunch) and the time to work. ;-D
How much will you be able to do for the strips currently hidden by the stands? Presumably it will be a very quick touch up when the crane lifts the boat?
Great job. Not sure who the dude was in the blue hoodie that stopped by a couple times and chatted for quite a while but, you should have slapped a roller in his hand and put him to work! lol.... I'm a little too far to be able to help but, I'd love to if I could and, I more than understand that at this stage all you need to see is arse holes and elbows from any help you get.😉😄 Again, great job and I wish you the best.
how about the bikinistripes from the standing? neet to lift and shift the boat? and in a previous vlog you menitoned extra annodes what about them? love the way you are working.
Usually the boat would be shifted a foot or two, but Ralph doesn’t think he’ll be able to do that before Monday now. BTW these are Not my time frames so I’m just rolling with it
Hi James, that waterline corrosion probably eminates from marina life and no galvanic isolator. Still got the areas on the stands. Great you had help. Please cover the motor, I cringe everytime I watch you and its open. How about asking for viewers to help with the blacking, but may be a bit late now.
Marlon the Machine, my what a shitty job that scraping and rust treating,, what do you do about the little bits under the supports, can you move them,,
Mrs B has just shouted at the TV that you need to cover over the engine to stop all that crap getting all over it and in it. I told her that you’d have that all in hand 😊
We all need a mate like Marlon!
Shoutout to Marlon , we need more people in this crazy world like him, selfless, hardworking for no gain, what a gentleman 👍🏻
I am over the moon that you had help today. The fact that he's a US vet makes me extremely proud. And do I understand he's on vacation? Wow. What a man. Hugs to both of you. Leigh
Ex-military are used to being tasked, and getting on with it. I had a former UK Army sniper work with me on a hotel renovation and he was a star.

LOVE the Wheelbarrow idea! And I hope you buy Marlon a pint or two! He DESERVES IT!
Thank goodness for Marlon!😊. You must have been so happy with his assistance. Well done both of you, and good luck tomorrow.
What a hero you have found in the lovely Marlon ❤. Hope you kept him hydrated and fed James!
Three cheers for Marlon! So good to see you getting some well deserved assistance.

Well done Marlon - what a star!! Just the kind of person you need when you are working to a deadline and jobs have to be done.
Think, Marlon has an invisible cape...amazing when help arrives out of the blue, when you need it, great vlog James...

Well done Marlon…imagine if the chatty fella in the blue got stuck in too lol 😂
Well done Marlon and James where do you get all that energy from. I’m knackered just watching you 😅
Like your work ethic James just amazing work
I totally dig the barrow/trolley combo ✌️😁
That was actually really comfy - in a metal shell kind of way
Well done Marlon ❤ and James 😎. Looks like a plan is coming together. Just the two small strips where the boat sits on the stand. Rub down then blacking in mid lift. I believe that goes off under water.
Job well done James and Marlon
Nice work guys.
Make sure you watch kids hair with that paint 😉
My fondest memories of boating were when I helped black my parents boat as a nipper 👍
Well done to you both.
Wow well done to u both. Such a pace too. Pls just make sure the blacking had its drying time or I believe it can come off. Absolutely amazing rate of progress. Well done
Good on ya, Marlon. 👍🍺
You are Herculean!

Great that you had some help 😊 nice video 😊thank you
As Glen points out. The stand areas how are you going to get them done???
Hi James, where are you going to find time to Vactan and black the two strips under the stands.
You found a couple of deeper pits underneath the boat ... Do those need welding? And when are you getting all the new anodes welded on?
Smashing it bud keep on keeping on love it
Great to see you making a living on yer back again James...😂
That's being innovative, using that wheelbarrow... Genius (shame you didn't think of it sooner) ;-)

IM SO glad you found something to support your poor body ! A wheelbarrow .hahahahahaha
what aout the bits under the stands ?

What about the rust etc under the blocks the boat is currently sitting on??
🌟 how long before Marlon gets a boat 👏🌟😁
Don’t you have to also do the parts that’s sitting on the supports?
A great undertaking. You're profit margin needs to be examined. Looks like a great success.
Do you quickly do the 2 strips under the boat stands on crane day as I dont think I have heard you mention that issue 🤔 injoying the build cheers.
Onya Marlin👍
How do you scrape and black where it sits on stand
i would think when they crane it back in the water he will do it then
@valve monky but he would need a couple days to scrape. Vartan wait black two coats does not fit timeliness of in water Monday
@@glenwhitley1067 Crusty stripes... 😉
Question, what about the spots where the stands touch the hull??
how about the bikinistripes from the standing? neet to lift and shift the boat? and in a previous vlog you menitoned extra annodes what about them?
love the way you are working.
Hi James. Marlon is an unsung hero. What a player!. BTW what happens to the bits that are on the stilts?
Alistsir
Usually the boat would be shifted a foot or two, but Ralph doesn’t think he’ll be able to do that before Monday now. BTW these are Not my time frames so I’m just rolling with it

That’s absolutely correct about the water line. Vetus is covered now
What do you do about the parts of the base plate concealed by the stands?
Marlon the Machine, my what a shitty job that scraping and rust treating,, what do you do about the little bits under the supports, can you move them,,
Barra!
If you take the blackening paint and add a filler. You can spread it on with a trowel to fill the pits
You dont need to fill the pits you just need to ensure the bitumen gets in them, a thinned coat will do this not a thicker.
@@snowflakemelter1172 You can use the paint as faring.
@@tinkeringwithmark1186 that's just cosmetic.
spot weld in the pits?
There is some help🎉
💜💙💚
I don’t see any over on engine to protect from all the dust and debris falling off the bottom of boat
All the orifices are plugged up, so its just blast it off with compressed air. No bother at all.
Moist bottom Monday, whoop etc.
Mrs B has just shouted at the TV that you need to cover over the engine to stop all that crap getting all over it and in it.
I told her that you’d have that all in hand
😊
👍👌❤️🇨🇦,
Well done bud, that was some day..
