My mother suffered a stroke in October 2021. The day before yesterday we celebrated her birthday at home. She could have gone way back then but by grace and mercy of the Most High she is still around. All I can say is.... "maita basa BABA.... pamatisvitsa pamatiyambutsa....My eyes well up with deep seated gratefulness as I hit this keyboard.Thank you Gemma and the entire team. Your song says in about 4 minutes what my heart has been feeling for the past 3 years of my Mother's illness and recovery. May GOD look after the ones mourning their loved ones. All thanks and praise s to the MOST HIGH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the diaspora where I resides, I have met many people who are ashamed of speaking Shona in public. Some Zimbabweans goes to great strides of even declaring themselves as South Africans. I am proud of Gemma Griffiths she is putting the language on a global map without shame so as other musicians who are contributing to the effort. Thumbs up to you all continue to fly our heritage and Zim flag high enough for the world to see our greatness.

That's is very true but I'm also the one who is a stubborn Shona , I'm staying PTA Mamelodi , have been staying the 12 years now and some guys ask me why you always speaking to us in your language but i tell them I'm proud of it .. some the don't want to speak Shona especially in public ,so inini kana uchifamba neni tichataura Shona chero papi zvapo vanondiziva vanonditi Mshona
