On my Windows laptop, the Personal Vault is automatically locked after few minutes if I don't do anything in Onedrive app. In the web, it also has some issues with transferring things from other folders and files.
I appreciate the therory behind Google's security. However any suspect apps that have got though Googles app store filter will have full access to all your onedrive. I would prefer to have a locked folder.
I find Google apps do everything I need. I am finding one infuriating issue though I keep being asked to delete playstore apps because there isn't enough storage space so can't update apps. Weird thing is I have loads of free storage space so can't understand what the issue is and how to fix it.

Be careful with the Personal Vault. I’ve got a subscription for OneDrive but I’m left with empty folders that did have documents in.
That doesn't sound good. You need to at least know your files will be safe.
