Ive kickboxed for a while and a six pack does benefit your performance. Through six pack excercises you train your core and nimbleness with your upper body. And it helps against body shots.

simon your a hell of a lot better then i thought youd be, if i were you id consider getting some lessons you dont need to fight anyone atm remember. maybe have some lessons (you could even vlog some) and see how it goes because if you enjoy it then when the next event is on maybe next year you'll be prepared, you'll have the body, the technique, and the ability to win a boxing match easily.
