Kenyans and Poles praise their cultural heritage highly: we take immense pride in our traditions and customs.
The Kenya Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai showcases an exhibition presenting the 44 Kenyan tribes, allowing visitors to experience ‘the energy of Kenya’. The bright, colourful Masaai ‘shuka’ cloth is a tangible example of the great Kenyan textile tradition. 🧶
In Poland, crocheting and lace-making have been part of traditional crafts for centuries. The world-famous lace from Koniaków is created by hand, using motifs inspired by nature. 🧵
Last week Kenya at #Expo2020Dubai received a unique gift: a lace doily in the shape of Kenya hand-made from the Koniaków lace created by artisans from the Koniaków Lace Foundation. It's a gesture of respect and great appreciation for Kenyan culture.
