All of these videos are good. That's cool you recruited for Disney+. I knew about Disney+ releasing before it was announced to the public. I can't give details on how I knew, but I worked at Pixar as an animation intern in Summer 2019. It was beautiful in San Francisco Bay Area. I'm starting multiple youtube channels, but now I'm trying to figure out how to started some online animation courses as I continue to learn more animation and search for my next job. There was a layoff on my previous job in May 2023. It would be nice to have nice passive income in case of situations like that. That was my first time experiencing a layoff, but it helped me focus on health problems I was dealing with at the time, and I even had vacation in Los Angeles with family for the first time since 1997-2000. Anyway, I'm ranting as usual. Thanks for videos. I'm trying.

One main concern I'm seeing with most of the online course platforms is they require monthly payment. I wish more websites were like Udemy because I can upload a course for free. The biggest downside is Udemy seems to take a large percentage of the revenue and they randomly give discounts. I plan to only sell my courses for $10 to $15 and no higher than $20. It would be beginner animation courses for students. I'm thinking about it. I don't know though. Some of the monthly payments seem nearly as high as what you made on that Udemy video example, even though the first 100+ students enrolled before the revenue started (if I remember correctly). I see some websites that say $199 or higher. Most are $29 to $49 per month. There is no guarantee I would earn the money back that I paid monthly. What if someone subscribed to 6 or 8 of these websites and they lost the money they originally had when they started?

I totally agree. This is one of the reasons I wanted to start with Udemy, Skillshare and Skillsuccess to validate my course idea without losing money every month. It also gets easier if you have an audience to sell to. In that case, you're less likely to lose money.

Skillshare no longer pay per minute watched; I had thousands of premium minutes, more specifically 1600, and I received only $10 dollars; I decided to leave the platform

Love the topic! I've got so many other questions though! You mentioned self hosting and selling from email list, very interested in how this compares. Were you able to get info from your sales on those websites (like demographics, or even emails for later?) How do you think making your course compares to making your RUclips videos? This last question probably has a lot of angles but I would be a great topic to explore imo.
Also somewhat unrelated, the audio on your screen record is pretty different from the rest of your video audio to where I couldn't hear it that great.

So those websites don’t share student emails. They make it very clear that those students are their clients and not yours :) that’s why I’m leaning towards building my own email list and selling courses directly to my clients.
And I think my course just felt like 5 separate RUclips videos haha. Very similar in terms of the technical work but you get to go in more detail.
Lastly, I use Loom to record my screen and use my headphones instead of a professional mic, that’s why.

Thank you for sharing! I didn’t know you could post the same course across multiple platforms! This is good to know. Udemy doesn’t hold any rights to your course?

    • @ChristinasSideHustles

Yes you can! This is a great way to get the most out of your course :) Udemy doesn’t enforce exclusivity except for the corporate classes I think.

Hi Christina, Thanks so much. Do you create your courses using templates? Is this possible on any of these sites? I have material I want to teach in courses but I'm not sure how to design it to make it professional and interesting, with video and everything. Or can you maybe recommend any other tool for making a course? You're great, thank you!

half a decade now....lol ... does that translate nearly 5 years? i understand the idea that most teaches about trying to make one's self sound better than they really are but lets not forget that the man/woman professional that you may be facing they also know what you are doing. I am 61 years old and i have 40 years 4 decades nearly half a century half of 100 years of experience and skill ..... lol i have found that just sit down be real keep it simple and dont try to make urself sound better than you really are. the young right now believe they will make themselves sound greater than they are. I have owned a million dollar business and when i hired people i hired them for a number of reasons but how transparent and honest they came across was a big big deal with my decision ... nice video i liked it sincerely

It is surprising that you are trying to push with so many ways, youtube, ads, etc, but you are not doing the obvious one which is only fans. You would make millions. Search Andrew Tate. Why dont you do it? good girl and staff? Come ooon. It's work .
