That cover doesn't look too clean. I hope this was simply a demonstration video.
Yeah, he should have cleaned it with breake cleaner and a shop rag before applying RTV
I hope this will patch up a torn gakset, a small tear but it gushes out oil when the truck is running
What if it gets in the bolt holes when tightening up?
That's going to leak
That's too much man
The best use I’ve found for it is in the trash
@Paul Rally Senior try anaerobic gasket maker.
Loctite 518
@Paul Rally Senior I learned about it from a performance engine builder in my neck of the woods. He said when they switched over they’ve never gone back to RTV.
I’ve had great luck with it. Even use it as a gasket dressing.
Gasket maker and gasket sealer or two different things....
If I was the customer I wouldn't even pay for the amount of silicone/gasket maker used much less the Shitty quality of work. Clean the sealing surface properly and remove all the dirt n trash out the cover. Giving us a bad name out here.
Awesome video I blown away how much I learned! Which was Nothing Zero Don't even know what to say this video so bad!!
Glad I could help!
Honestly thank you for showing the young ones how to do this. I've seen where people say it needs what it's just a drip. 🤦
Wow look at all the dirt and crap in the bowl of the cover. Not good
I think you should use more. 🤷🏻♂️
Can you use it with a gasket
i would use sealer alone or gasket alone. not both
@@JasonsGarargeandrvrepair i Accidentally bought maker instead of sealer so i was just wondering if you can use both so i’ll just use my gaskets alone
Is this reliable???
sure !
Not the cleanest job
NO..... GO OVER THE HOLE TOO SO THE BOLTS SEAL TOO....SMH
Lol
The holes are blind, no oil can come out of them.
