Ngl after 4.4 and hearing so many people say xiao beats wanderer in every case
I was curious and got a xiao, gave him a similar investment to my wanderer, so 10/9/9, similar ratio
i have c3 furina c2 xianyun and c6 faruzan, and his signature
I wanted to compare them at my level of investment. My wanderer is c2, but without his weapon
Ngl, in most cases at my level and skill wanderer, always clears faster
His way of not needing to reposition for multiwave trivializes most chambers, and he has faster setups, higher nukes, and better flexibility for elemental checks
I think people look at theoretical numbers too much annd forget how the way characters deal their dmg and how flexible they are especially how well they are in aoe ans multi wave plays a huge role on how good they are in practice
Anyways nuce wanderer showcase , and i am glad people realized how much they underestimated wanderer after xianyun came out for xiao
Also i feel like wanderer best dps team isnt out yet , faruzan is perfect and furina is great especially at high cons
But if we get any pyro atk buffer that provides any defensive utility or dmg on their own he will surpass his current teams dps imo
yeah I agree that Wanderer doesn't even feel like he has his true finalized team yet, I think he will get it with the Pyro Archon or some other character in Natlan

Close to clorinde after I got her , so I am looking forward to how natlan characters and the archon change their team

I got Xiao during lantern rite because I love the character and I didn't have a second damage dealer. Then I got Wanderer because I love his character too.
Xiao: C0, 9/9/9, 87/182 with crit rate weapon (Deathmatch), Wanderer: C1, 9/9/8, 79/209 with crit damage weapon (Widsith). I haven't played Xiao in a while since I didn't like him being burst reliant, but I did plan on running him with Furina (didn't get her yet tho), C6 Faruzan and Jean/Bennett (depending on how well I deal with Furina's hp drain). I'm thinking similar team with Wanderer (atm C6 Faruzan, C3 Thoma, C6 Bennett, but will swap out Thoma with Furina).
I remember being hyped for the new Xiao team (like most Xiao mains I assume). Sadly I didn't manage to get Xianyun (lost the 50/50). I have to say tho that it was still a dream to be able to run FFXX eventually, and I have to say that I was impressed with what people could do with Xiao and his best team.
But now that I have Wanderer, do I even want to get Xianyun for my Xiao? Wanderer feels so much better to play, and to me he also feels easier to play. I'm not all in for the "easy" solutions, but it feels really good to not rely on the burst to actually do damage. I was honestly also surprised how much faster your Wanderer cleared than Xiao, and it just convinced me even more that maybe I should leave Xiao for now and stay focused on my Wanderer team (I run Alhaitham hyperbloom as my second team so no real need for Xiao). It just feels bad to leave one of my favorite characters behind.
Really nice showcase tho, I was always curious to how they would perform compared to each other, especially since Xiao's new team got a lot of praise earlier this year while Wanderer kinda didn't get mentioned.

chamber 1 couldve been a tad bit faster prolly like 47s with Xiao missed a couple of plunges, but I tried to do another run with him and couldnt get anything faster than 51s so I kept this one
Since i got Wanderer in 4.6 i've only been using him in a Furina - C6 Faru - C2 Freedom Sworn Jean team. Is it worth it to replace Jean with Bennett here ? If so, how big of an dps increase would it be ? I tried playing him but it feels kinda wack, specially since i don't have a single decent healing bonus set with good ER rolls
Bennett should always be better than a pre-c4 Jean, and still better than her even at C4. But if you are doing fine with Jean and like how it feels with her instead of Bennett, not any real reason to change it if its working well for you
Jade spear is pretty bad for fast xiao clears. Xiao would clear much faster with homa
